I am adoring these videos, especially adapted from the Book of Genesis. There is more to these stories than simply what God had "planned" for Abraham and his descendants. Seriously, consider the way the characters in these stories treat each other and what becomes of their relationships over time. Had Laban not treated his daughters, let alone the way he used Jacob, so poorly, he would not have been parted from his daughters and grandchildren without warning. In the striping of the goats through dappled branches, that does seem like trickery. There's a BIG reach for character growth from the narrator in my opinion here in stating it was all above board, but I do think theres a compromise where his trickery was a gift from god, or that as the narrator suggests, was facilitated by god. Either way in crediting god afterwards, I believe shows growth there.

@@gordonsirek9001 - AGREED. I just posted that question. He covers a broad range of legendary figures found in oral and literary lore. I never assume that the non-Christian characters presented were fully truthful, but products of active human imaginations and socio-political and cultural fulfillment.
