Personally a bit disappointed as Legends spend more time checking out Baal in the context within the Bible, and only briefly tackled the mythologies he originated from (such as the Ugaritic cycle). There are many Baals as well: the most famous is a Baal-Hadad, but there is also Baal-Hamon, Baal-Zephon and Baalshamin among others. The category of Baal in wikipedia also includes Jupiter, Enlil and Marduk (who was sometimes called "Bel").

I believe from researching that the Eagle & Serpent cults of the world stem from the factions & followers of Enlil or that of Ea/Enki. Some follow blindly and other people have the EYE & are in "the know". I wonder if the equivalent for Anu, Enki, Enlil is; Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva. It does point to a Creator, Preserver, Destroyer. Your suspicions are correct, Sitchin was a grossly incompetent translator and/or a con artist. The truth is there are no tablets ever discovered in the history of ancient near eastern archeology that state the Anunnaki came from Nibiru, and the idea that they came here to mine gold is never even hinted at during any of their texts. i used to be a believer in his books until someone challenged me to read the texts for myself by using the "electronic text corpus of sumerian literature," where you can read every single text where words like "anunnaki" or "gold" appear in and see if i could find any actual texts that back up sitchins claims. so i did just to prove that sitchin was right. turns out, i was wrong. sitchin's ideas are not the result of something like him just translating some words slightly different, no, the reality is he pulled almost all of his bullshit completely out of thin air. but you dont have to take my word for it, if you want to read the texts for yourself ill be happy to explain exactly how you can use the database i mentioned above.
