They will until a certain point. Only a very rare few musicians maintain the same creative quality in their 40s+, much less get better; but hey, flowers bloom and then wilt. Not everyone can be a freaking evergreen like King Buzzo or Mike Patton.

This is the problem I have with them...if you want to hear 60s or 70s music just listen to loads of albums from that period. It kind of applies to an regressive looking fad. Theres nothing wrong with taking elements of the past if you give it some modern element...this doesnt...sorry

@@carolfan4466 I’m skeptical of your taste because what I’ve heard that I find particularly egregious is all recent. This is by far the best thing I’ve heard from them and it’s old. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWqUgJmpa7xrhNksi=hZNgdKGiijIB69ZE Most of their songs are mediocre but dressed up and disguised with a collection of odd turnarounds and intentionally outdated chord gimmicks. Wilco kind of does similar things and it fools most of the hipsters, but the emperor is wearing no clothes. Anyways, if they would spend more time between albums or be more selective they have the potential to be very good. The song I just posted is a great song.

I prefer these guys to Greta Van Fleet. Never understood why GVF are so popular...just a cheap knock off of Led Zeppelin imo. The Lemon Twigs are a band i can get behind, because even though they do wear their influences on their sleeve, they are still very much their own thing....plus the vocals and harmonies...the songwriting are just perfect!
@Tityretupatulae

Greta Van Fleet are an amazingly talented band. If you think they are a Led Zep rip off you haven’t listened much to them at all, or Led Zeppelin for that matter. And it is also a bit ridiculous because I love The Lemon Twigs but they are equally derivative of a bunch of British Invasion bands. Greta Van Fleet have a transcendent sound and their Battle At Garden’s Gate is a complete masterpiece
@jonny5779

@@Tityretupatulae if it works for you mate, thats all that counts. I will say though that i have heard enough Led Zeppelin and enough GVF to make the conclusion that they are a Led Zeppelin knock off. True..Lemon Twigs are derivitive, but they are also their own thing aswell, and thats why i like them. I think that the members of GVF are talented musicians, there is no question about that, but they sound way too much like Zeppelin...and thats a problem for me
