It's so cool seeing a game set in a setting like this, specially a horror one. We really need more atmospheric horror games like this. This is another one of those underused settings that need to be used more. I still don't understand why game companies stopped making games that are set on older times. Those games were awesome.

31:13 Being a nerd, I couldn't help but wonder when was the ionizing radiation hazard symbol was first designed cus I thought scientists in 1930s were not even aware that ionizing radiation exists. It was in 1946 according to IAEA (just from googling).

this game really feels like one of those games i had on my computer as a kid in the early 2000s. the zoom in with the keys while attempting to unlock the door really solidifies the feeling. wish i still had a lot of them, so i could re-experience that 90's jank

Thanks for being a positive presence in this oftentimes tumultuous reality.

You know, Mr. Librarian, at first I wanted to complain about main character's voice acting. But after the fire episode and at 44:30, all my complaints disappeared. Where I live, they would say “he directly feels it.” about such voice acting. Overall, an interesting game. It really is somewhat reminiscent of Outlast, but upgraded. I especially like that the screamers are quite rare, and between them you have time to relax a little, due to which they do not become boring.

Correct, William "Billy the Kid" Wharton is the name of one of the inmates in green mile. I really love all the inspiration this game took from that book, the only thing missing are the lime green floor tiles! On a side note for everyone, who hasn't yet: Go watch green mile, the movie is amazing (and the book is even better)

someone who has seen Green mile!? it's a great movie. though some stuff isn't covered like details on why some prisoners are there. 23:33 :D 34:33 :D 51:17 poor Hadley! wonderful playthrough, perhaps a little quality of life improvements would be nice. like not needing to trail and error the colored keys. maybe a difficulty or something that allows skipping the morse code. i would have liked to see a little more living friendly NPC around. they could be injured if need be. but too many games like this the player is the only living being.

I don't know why you sounded so exasperated at the end there. Did that look like it's not going to cliffhanger to you? The presentation was WAY too grand to not end right there. Come on, Librarian...
Mr. Librarian you need to play Layers of Fear. It’s an astounding game about a painter in the late 1800s. It’s full of the type of horror you typically like. I think it’s only around 6ish hours, longer than Blair witch but the story is fascinating and beautiful. They made a second one but it was terrible. Just play the first one, it’s a standalone and not connected to the others.

Is it just me or is it a bit awkward that this game's 'William Wharton' appears to be a Black man? The Green Mile was about a Black man who was blamed and punished for a white man's crimes, and Wharton turned out to be the white man in question. Making Wharton Black feels... unideal.
