Another excellent video... good move changing to "Button" head bolts.. I made note to point it out to you.. good catch. putting in the horizontal stab carbon spare could be a bit tricky.. need to push down on pipe a bit to get it across.. all in all Excellent progress..

Man that thing looks like it,s doing Mach just sitting there. A pretty thorough vid of it all. Funny looks like there,s not a lot of room in there but she has plenty. Great idea to aid in not sucking up clumps off grass as most sport jets now have the intakes underneath. Had a great score this last week scored a JHH Panther which are around $1000 U.S still I managed to get the kit for $150 NZ. Really looking forward to getting that started. Unsure whether E or T yet. Anyway looking forward to the next U 2 vid. Bell now. ;0)

Great Vid Jon! I am impressed with the hardware in that kit! Hispano Aviation does a good job! BTW, are we going to see some maiden flights in April? Maybe?
@thelightersideofrc Жыл бұрын
Thanks Bert! Yes great all around package for sure. Maidens. Well, at this rate. Maybe September 😂😂. Kidding of course. We are getting into spring weather now so thinks are melting at a steady rate. Hopefully by mid April things will be dry enough fingers crossed 🤞

The powerbox connectors and wire is the least heat resistant wiring materials you can buy. You should use TEZEL wiring and mini-PV connectors.

Are those preset percentages for the surface travel limits in the manual or was that through visual analysis? Great video as always!
@thelightersideofrc Жыл бұрын
Havent set the travel yet of the surfaces. At this point it is limiting the Max travel so the surface or arm can't over travel and damage the surface. I will do the travel adjustments as a final step.

Been searching for turbine #2 and have seen hinges described as standard, skin and live. I think I got the first two but "live" not sure. Is it just another way of describing a skin hinge? First jet is a Boomerang so I've never owned a composite plane. Also wondering about durability of skin hinges after flexing hundreds of times.
@thelightersideofrc Жыл бұрын
Hey Ron. Yes, different way of describing skin hinge. Basically they are good indefinitely as long as you don't have a major impact. Lots of aircraft out there like an ultra flash that is all skin hinges, hundred of high speed and high G flights.
