Hey why do the Savage Locus Drones face plate change? I remember in GOW 3 I played that one because his mask would change every timed you died. I like the one that was a full face play with a red cross in the middle of a silver plate.

You can see that the savage Kantus do not wear their traditional Kantus priest armour rather they sport an armour more suited for war which makes me think that they did ditch their old Kantus priest roles.

Watching these videos made me realize how the epic Era of gears was undoubtably the golden Era. Every game would introduce new enemies in a dramatic cinematic and that battle was tailored to show there powers and abilities. It made them all so memorable. And the bosses were designed to have interesting mechanics like the cerapede. Raam, krill, armored Kantus, beastriders, Therons, the ones mentioned here. So much creativity.

Originally for years, I believed that the savage locust remained loyal to the Queen, I assumed this sub-faction were trying to adapt more to the elements on the surface. Though I am actually curious as to where Queen Myrrah fled after the flood.

I like to think she flew all around Sera looking for somewhere to make camp and rebuild. Ex uir strongholds etc Finding no where she went to the island looking for Adam fenix to destroy the ever growing threat of lambant. (Stalks everywhere led her back to him)

My favorite skin is the the GOW3 Savage Drone (the face mask would change per death) or the Savage Elite Theron Guard. (Bone white armor)

Well the reason why the Therons are highly regarded Because they are the original locust Grenadiers that broke out from containment durring the shut down of new hope before gears 5 retconed it And also the standard grenadiers are first generation of Locust that breeded with the berzerkers to make drones AKA the most imbreeded and resent to gears judgment to gears 3

Sometimes I feel like this is what TC wanted the swarm to feel like but I bit more mindless, it's also a shame we didn't get to see the savage kantus, savage hunter and marauder in game (mostly because epic needed some locust to fell out the map pack content) it makes them feel a bit underdeveloped? Idk the savage locust that you fight in game are just drones, grenadiers and boomers which is just a shame. Great video abz, will we get one one the swarm?

Excellent video and as a huge fan of gears of war i do like how they show this form of locust as we see with the events that they are barely surviving. Ive said to other members of the community that we need a campaign game on the locust themselves where you play as a drone soldier in the lambent wars in the hollow and show within the campaign why the locusts were forced to the surface. Rhe begginkng act should be the uprising myrah begins in the facility and you travel down the hollow and begin establishing nexus. Even the first enounter of the lambent after so many years. The second chapter can be more on the lambent war with you being one of the locusts who attacked on e day. To me this would definitely get the community excited and maybe even have a customization of your character wearing certain armours and perhaps even have it were you play a theron serving the queen in gears of war 3 capturing azura or play as myrah for that final attack. Maybe for an open world idea you help establish a base in certain areas when you complete the campaign to establish a strongholds and capture cog and stranded bases to. Id say split into multiple campaigns for each area like in gears of war 5 so you can play a story based around each game. Maybe get a bit of funny scenes with the locusts doj g normal stuff in nexus.

I don't think they cut ties with the queen nor lost their connection to the hive mind. Unless there's something in the comics, that's just speculation. You could see on Savage Drone's mask the queen's symbol. On nearly every Savage Locust you could still see the queen's symbol so it's safe to say they didn't change their allegiance or biology simply due to their home being flooded.
