Happy new year! I don't have a desk. I use a diner table as computer desk. It's 160 wide, 90 deep and 74 centimeters high. Plenty of space. MX Linux Xfce on a refurbished Dell optiplex 5050 mini with 16G of RAM and 256G Sata SSD. Samsung 27 inch R650 professional monitor 1920x1080 with IPS matte screen. Ajazz A820 75% mechanical keyboard. Does the job perfectly for me.

What's your right monitor @ 12:14? Never mind. You covered it. LG dual-up (?). Will look into a dual up configuration. I need it for my day trading setup.
@intermarer91452 күн бұрын
Best thing I ever did was throw away the multi-monitor setup and put in a 48" LG OLED instead. It's like four monitors in one, but without the horrible desk clutter and config complexity.
@TheLinuxCastКүн бұрын
I will probably do this someday, but not until these die
@Winnetou17Күн бұрын
@@TheLinuxCast Something tells me that if they don't die at the same time, the single big monitor will never happen. Truth to be told, I don't think that a single giant monitor is for everyone. Be it something like a normal ratio 40-48" monitor or a ultrawide 32:9 aspect one like Samsung's ... I forgot the model name, that you can split in 2 or 3
@intermarer914516 сағат бұрын
@@Moped_Mike I use a 48" LG C1. Best purchase ever 😊If it broke today I would buy a C4 in a heartbeat! BUT! this will be niche - if you use Linux, remember that these are TVs so no displayport. Meaning, if you want 4k@120hz in Linux you will have to use Nvidia. Neither AMD nor Intel can do HDMI 2.1 in Linux because the HDMI forum people are assholes.

I don't know if the fourth monitor will stay this year or not. We'll see. Most of the time it's unused. And it'd give me more desk space and flexibility by getting rid of it.
