I think they just grew apart. It’s sad they couldn’t make it work. Marriage isn’t always easy and takes tons of work. How many times have you “fallen out of love”? I’m asking because I’ve been married twice. The first time I was 18 & fell in love & married him at age 21. I never fell out of love but he cheated & was abusive for most of the marriage. I divorced him not because I fell out of love but because he couldn’t stop cheating. He died 5 years ago & I grieved over him. I never stopped loving him but I did stop liking him. I’m now remarried. I fell in love fast, he did too & we were married within a year. That was 18 years ago. Once again I believe you don’t fall out of love but I believe people stop working on the relationship. The things you don’t like about them get on your nerves, you might bitch & complain, you stop showing your love to them because their lazy in the relationship. So couples who are together a long time have to make a way to fall in love with them over & over again. Fake it till you make it. You have to force yourself to flirt with them daily, with a love note or a love text, a pinch on the butt while you’re cooking, compliment them a lot, giggle when they tell a funny story, give them the eyes that show your love whatever you can think to do & you’ll fall in love all over again. And you really don’t fall out of love in fact you may love them their whole life even if you’re not together but it’s a different love…not crushing on him but a love that says if he’s not happy with you and not trying to ignite a flame for you maybe he’d be happier without you. Set him free. So it’s more like you fall out of like. You don’t like the things they do you don’t like that they aren’t into you. But you always have to look hard at yourself & ask yourself what Can you do to fix this relationship of not liking each other right now & get busy being ga-ga over him. It’s worked for me for 38 years of marriages!! People quit too easily. Purpose in your heart that you’re going to fall in love with them all over again.
