It would have been a total constitutional crisis without Diana. As there would have been no chance for children with Camilla. Marrying a divorced women with 2 young children in 1981 with no potential for an heir would have destroyed the monarchy. The Wales's William, Kate their children, and the York Princesses,& their familys now fill in the gap Diana and to an extent Fergie provided as young glamourous royals. It doesnt matter so much about Camilla.
