Fort Worth looks a great place to visit. What a treat to see the Longhorns walking up the street. Was looking forward to your visit to Billy Bobs, so felt as disappointed as you were

I have 3 HEB stores in a 5 mile radius of my house & also 3 Walmart’s. Walmart is less expensive than HEB. I worked at the San Antonio River Authority when HEB moved their headquarters to the old armory in downtown just up the river from us. We called & asked for a tour of the buildings & they told us to come on down. There is an old escape tunnel that runs under the river to Charles Butt’s home in the King William District. He’s a descendant of the original founder & president of the company.

To bad you didn't get to go to Billy Bob's. The longhorns had really long horns. I didn't realize they were so long. Such different things you have visit & seen.✌️👍🤓

Hi guys. Finding your roadtrip absolutely fascinating. Especially your visit to Nevada, the scenic canyons of Arizona. And my very favourite, your visit to Bodie !!. Also, thank you for sharing historical facts of all those wonderful places you have visited xx

Really liked Vera’s cowgirl hat - it suits her. On one of my trips I didn’t buy a hat but did get a pair of cowboy boots. Shame about the Honky Tonk but you did see longhorn cattle and had a couple of slabs of ribs.

Nick, surprised you didn’t comment on this. The Fort Worth Water Gardens feature in the final scenes of Logan’s Run movie.

I just saw that film a few weeks ago & instantly thought this must have been where they filmed those scenes. Very cool! ☺️

Love this series. I heard your Navigation voice tell you to get on Hwy 35. In theory, you could get on that highway and not get off until you arrive in St. Paul /Minneapolis Minnesota. The farthest state north.

The George Costanza picture in the bathroom is hilarious (actor from tv show Seinfeld). I suspect the alarm at the store was someone getting too close to Area 51. :)

stayed at the Sheraton in new orleans, and had beignets at cafe du monde too. you will enjoy. Bourbon street at night comes alive. Look out for the chappies with signs telling you where the whiskey, drinks are really cheap.

Fun view of the touristy spots of Fort Worth. It's also a great city with beautiful residential neighborhoods, world-class museums, gorgeous parks, a zoo that arguably is second in America only to San Diego's, and little of the sterile glass and steel architecture and culture of its gaudy neighbor to the east. By the way, the old-timey-looking buildings in The Stockyards are not replicas. And the brick streets go way back, too. They didn't have the equipment to install modern streets paved with Portland cement back then, so they put in hand-laid brick streets. Can you imagine the mud bogs and wagon ruts in that high-trafficked area in the nineteenth century if they had not paved the streets? And, no, they didn't "ferry" cattle from south Texas to Fort Worth in rail cars🤣🤣🤣. Hints: the "Chisolm Trail" inscription at the bottom of the "cattle drive" mural in Sundance Square or the miniature "cattle drive" on Exchange Steet twice a day.

Great vlog guys. I love Texas, I lived there for a year (going back in February to visit friends). The state, I find, is completely different to any other state ( I've visited a few) and I find the people very friendly. Last time I was in Dallas I drove up to Fort Worth. I found a motel and when I got up to reception there was a sign saying that they were closed for repairs due to tornado damage !. Anyhoo...I've watched all you road trip vlogs and Love them! Hope you have a good drive to New Orleans...can't wait to see it. ♥️😄

Oh loved Fort Worth ,this vlog brings back lots of memories ,the town was where they filmed Walker Texas Ranger with Chuck Norris lol and he ended each episode in one of the bars there , Did you have any Buffalo butt beer? It is literally poured from a stuffed buffalo butt mounted on the wall in the old cowboy hotel by the rodeo also Elvis has played that Rodeo lol

Saw that Leigh enjoyed the Anne Rice novels and wondered if you had watched the new Interview with the Vampire series on AMC? Heard it runs a lot closer to the book than the 1994 movie.

Although I have been to Dallas and Arlington, I never have been to Fort Worth, so it’s interesting to see what it’s like. It looks like it would not be very comfortable to be a longhorn, because as huge as some of them are, I think it would be heavy for them to hold their heads up. The waterpark you visited looked very refreshing, though if it’s hot out and the water gets hot, it might actually be more humid, I guess.
