Miss potter the movie with Ewan McGregor is a nice little watch with Renee zellweger as Beatrix potter. Watching your vlog tonight with the beautiful scenery reminded me of it with all the greenery. Looks great.

What a lovely day - out on the water, great food and, while busy, not over crowded. At least it didn’t look that way. Patricia Routledge did a good documentary, about 45 minutes, on Beatrix Potter. It is up on KZbin. Lots of Lake District scenery.

It's just Windermere, not "Lake" Windermere. The "mere" part actually means a large open body of water..... I never heard the waterfront at Bowness called the "harbour" before......

Great vlog today guys..That hotel that was in the middle of nothing was absolutely gorgeous… I wonder how much it cost to stay there per night…I just love how quaint everything is and every place you go.. Nick … you’re dinner looked sooo good but that is a tiny sticky toffee pudding… like 3 bites and gone 😂😂… really enjoyed that day… thank you for sharing it… love ya❤️❤️

We are spending our last full staycation day in Bowness-on-Windermere. Last night an excellent meal at Rastelli’s. We managed to get a table at Urban Food House for 6pm later today. Thanks for the recommendation guys. By the way, the town is rammed !!

Oh that's where we went,it was Beatrix Potter's place,we also went on the big boat on the lake,I loved the name of the small boat you went on...Nellie was my mother-in-law's name and she was just the best 🥰....we stayed around Ullswater, we were in the middle of nowhere and it was just fab. Nick you are beautiful,you both are 😍 Oh and I'm not sure if that was Daniel my watch party pal but if it was...Hi Daniel 🙋‍♀️,I hope you all had the best day,it certainly looked a great day with lots of delicious food. Ambleside is actually on the same side of the lake as Bowness-on-Windermere: at least Waterhead is - Waterhead is where Ambleside pier is located, Ambleside town is positioned a little to the north of the lake.

We went to Beatrice Potters house when last in the Lake District. She wrote famous children# books and was one of the people responsible.for blocking large scale building projects there by buying up farms that developers were after
