The joke that Quato calls EVERY human "a Quaid" (as in "dude") is f*cking golden ... & then the line "what Quaid does a Quato have to blow to get a Molson around here"... fully doubled over in laughter, & that's without the visuals 🔥

If you ever do a "Corrections" for The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast, then you should correct the reference to Mikhail Gorbachev in the "Out of Breath Jogger from 1982" sketch, because Mikhail Gorbachev didn't become the leader of the Soviet Union until 1985.

I’m not even a serial “jackal” but the CO2 and Philip K Dick whiffs were nothing short of jarring. I was just listening to Seth’s family trips podcast and he casually drops the word “oeuvre” as though it’s a common phrase - it’s not - but he’s wholly ignorant of arguably the most prolific science fiction author of the 20th century behind countless massive Hollywood film adaptations? Do better, Seth. 😂 Also - massive fan of the podcast and thank you guys for doing it. It brightens my day when I see a new one has dropped.

@rotherthies5 ай бұрын
@@BeMoreFunny yeah almost the whole season is like that. Most of the 90s and early 2000s are like that, actually. I understand the music performances being cut, there is no way to quantify the play count, but quite litterally a couple hundred sketches are just completely removed. Like the 3 or 4 Justin Timberlake mascot sing offs, all removed. A couple of Wayne's worlds. bunch of Amy P, and Jimmy F sketches, etc etc... the editing is rampant... I can find the full shows on torrent, most of the time. But it's always like a tape of a tape recorded from live tv "quality".
@BeMoreFunny5 ай бұрын
@@rotherthies There's some weird legal stuff going on when most of what they can air live, and was most likely rebroadcast in reruns during the season, now can't be shown to the public via streaming. And as someone else brought up in these comments, you'd think most of it could be protected by parody, satire, fair use. Like you said, tho, the music part is less surprising. Music has such a stranglehold on TV; prevents countless series from being released on physical media or even streaming. Which is kinda crazy considering how music is so abused by streaming audio services.
