"hey do you feel like listening to this podcast about hot rod?" DON'T EVEN ASK JUST BRING IT! Seriously guys, this is one of my all time favourites. I spent a winter training to be a snowboard instructor when I was 19 or 20, our whole crew watched and quoted this film religiously. Many extremely long and very painful falls were had, despite calling for the protection of our ancestors or summoning the soul of the bottlenose dolphin before each run. So many good memories, thank you for this movie!

I highly recommend Whoopie Boys. You won't learn anything, but there are stellar moments and likeable leads being rascals and a boy meets girl to move everything along. Great ensemble with Denholm Elliott, Eddie Deesen and Taylor Negron all banging out quotable lines. We used to watch it after work every night for like a year. Wore out the VHS. Beer was involved. While I'm here, the "Morning Of" sequence in Hot Rod gave me, truly, my biggest laughing fit in 20 years. Speaking of stellar moments.

Yeah don't you ever tell me how to live my life again. I saw Hot Rod in theaters Summer of 2007 with my siblings and they wanted to see Hairspray after, but I ended up just seeing the glory that is Hot Rod again by myself. My clip of the Cool Beans scene I recorded in the theater still lives on my dead Motorola Rizr Z3 somewhere in the universe. Hot Rod will always be a comedy classic and hits all the right humor notes - the random jokes/bits and reactions are on a whole other level, and some lines/moments that may not seem funny on paper are hilarious due to delivery or not sitting with/explaining the joke and you're laughing like "wait, what was that??", it's beautiful. The perfect comedy and in a league of its own and still brings me and my friends to tears from laughing. It truly is a movie that was made by friends and you're along for the ride, the love shows through, Hope the boys keep making more movies like it MAY YOUR HAMMER BE MIGHTY
