He has always been my favorite Planeswalker, even tho I know it's kinda cliche now. The Living Guildpact was my first Planeswalker as well as Ravnica being my first and favorite plane. He also has one of the best designs of Planeswalkers, his Gruul markings and robes make him stand out (I guess being a mind mage helps that)

It's kinda interesting comparing Jace to the other famous fictional telepath, Professor X. In many ways, they reflect each other as much as they juxtapose. It's why they're one of the fictional matchups I'm most invested in.

Jace has a special place for me, cause Jace memory adept was my first planeswalker that I pulled. Really curious to see what people think of the teaser poster from the western set, cause supposedly Jace and vraska were silhouetted. And if it is them, what that means for their story, and being phyrexian or not. Reading the book “agents of artifice” offered a really good insight into the events that transpired after the infinite consortium. Also had a very interesting story involving Jace and Liliana, that wasn’t covered in the video, or in the traditional magic story or cards (won’t spoil in case others want to read, but would recommend).

I like Jace & his illusion magic but if I had a choice in which type of "blue" I would be if I were a walker, hands down it would be Tezzeret's artifice abilities...They announced a "Space Opera" type set coming out soon & the image shared alongside the spoiler was Tezzeret with a huge sun behind him & floating in outer space. I hope we finally get a White/Black/Blue Tezzeret card.

My hope for Jace in the future is that he will be the new leader of the Phyrexians. We have had majority black aligned phyrexians as well as white. This could lead to a philosophically blue phyrexian group. Plus that would be a cool fall from grace, and possible redemption later.

He was, but the heavy dose of Halo from the impalement caused by Elspeth, granted Jace enough time to create a stronghold to protect his psyche from the full compleation process. (The same stronghold that protected Jace's mind from the psychic onslaught of Emrakul, though this time it took the form of Useless Island rather than his Sanctum on Ravnica.) After this, Perfected Mind Jace followed the will of Phyrexia vs Vryn until Jace willed his body to fight back against the oil infecting his body. Even then, that was only a stopgap until he could get treated while he was vulnerable, only really succeeding after Elesh Norn was defeated.

@@TakiwaraTaki the sagas go in this order: 1. The weather light Saga. This is the OG phyrexia set focuses on sets from antiquities all the way to invasion, of which urza is the protagonist, and it focuses on urza war with yawgmoth/the phyrexians 2. The exploring saga. This is when the camera stopped looking at dominaria 24/7 and we got to move on of which Karn became the protagonist of magic after gaining his creator urza's spark. This one doesn't have as much of a central plot line as it more or less just started a bunch of pre mending plane introductions. This ends with time spiral where the aforementioned mending nerfs planeswalkers into the ground. 3. The Nicol Bolas saga. After the mending magic focused on it's set of new characters now that they could show off planeswalkers more easily with a new card type. Long time recurring villain became center stage as the subsequent story was him lusting to regain his lost power. The protagonist from this point on became Jace, with ajani coming in as second most important. 4. The gatewatch saga: this one started with magic origins and served as a soft reboot for the franchise. Obviously went on from magic origins to war of the spark and all that, with the gatewatch being formed as a group of heroes for the camera to follow. 5. The new phyrexian saga this went on from the beginning of the set after war of the spark and featured long time planeswalker Teferi, who is from the weather light saga as he served basically liliana's role to jace in that saga. It focused on the new phyrexians who ended with a full scale multiversal assault in March of the machines. The rebuilding saga: the one we're currently after the phyrexian invasion left the entire multiverse in disrepair. Obviously Jace is still the protagonist tho.

I can't decide His chosen play style is similar enough to mine that I keep standing on his toes, and finding numerous cards in my decks which are Jace themed. But he seams a little cliche and at times a little cringe. But I certainly don't keep bumping into any other planeswalker the way I do Jace which leaves me unsure what to think about him

I don't know. That is weird. Of all the guilds of Ravnica, I would expect Gruul to hate blue the most. Gruul is a mix of green and red, which are the two enemy colors of blue. Jace is the most iconic blue Planeswalker. So for him to be wearing Gruul symbols doesn't make any sense.
