If Maul killed Dooku and Grievous at the same time he captured them Darth Sidious would have incredible big problems. Entire his plan started to collapse. And than when Jedi arrived go and speak with them-telling them that Clone Wars are over, that Grievous and Dooku died and it is time to deal with Sidious. But unfortunately to Maul, he was not smart enough.

During the battle,he found out that Obi Wan was there for a reason,knowing he was protecting young Luke Skywalker,however,Maul ultimately was defeated with his last few moments alive being asking if it was the Chosen One who Obi Wan was protecting and with his final words being that Luke was the one who would avenge them all,both the Sith and Jedi who were defeated by Sidius.

If you want to complain about how some things are animated, go complain to him. Rebels is already making progress in most of season two, especially for its finale. That show has potential. Give it some time.

"Cool stuff" The cartoon network clone wars from 2003 was awesome. The animated clone wars simply spits on stars was by putting things in it that completely go in against everything that is canon. Honestly, Maul’s appearance in Rebels wasn’t all that exciting. His arc in Rebels didn’t quite have the same effect as his arc in Clone Wars. In Clone Wars, Maul was a beaten, broken warrior who had been suffering both mentally and physically for years, driven insane by his hatred for Obi-Wan. He eventually got his revenge on Kenobi and became even more powerful than ever before, only to have his party crashed by the senate himself, Palpatine. In Rebels, he was sort of just there for fan service, and his arc didn’t really have a big effect on anything in the Star Wars universe. Maul returning in Clone Wars was technically fan service too, but it was fan service done right. It gave us more than just a petty little cameo. It gave us a story that all Star Wars fans will remember for years to come.
