It’s just a matter of preference. Some pro racers are swapping tires as soon as the edges wear so after practice, before the race etc. Personally I don’t race and I swap tires pretty frequently. Rear isn’t lasting more than a season for sure and I have my riding split across several bikes.

The Lost Co being flexible with work schedules to allow Tor to coach with Galbraith Gravity and teach the kids…sending that energy our way was a favorite Lost Co product of 2024!!! Thank you for being the world’s local bike shop, but we love being really local for real 🤘 Thank you. 🙏

Schwalbe Radials are a game changer, been riding them. Fillmore valves the best, they dont clog like prestas, not once at all, game changer too!!!

I bought a full suspension bike for the first time in my life. It is used nukeproof giga 297 carbon but, I love it so much. Such a game changer. Best upgrade 10/10.

I took a hardtail to a downhill park because that's all I had and all I knew. After one lap my hands were numb and I rented an enduro. It was like I had learned magic. Then I moved to Colorado and bought a Levo. Full flip in perspective.

Reserve HD30 wheels are freaking awesome! I have 4,000 miles on mine and ride rough rocky southern Utah terrain and they just take the beating. I should have broken them several times but worst thing that happened was be broken spoke. Filmore valves are great too. I can someone natal tires now with only a floor pump.

You guys should try the tire combo, albert on he front and shreda for the rear. Great for PNW weather, especially when the trail is muggy.

Just checked out Tenet's website and those bars look pretty tasty...so do the flat pedals too. Also yes the Schwalbes are game changers

If you want a flex bar, try the Fasst Company Flexx Bar. Carbon flex bars pale in comparison to the vibration mitigation performance of Fasst Company.

I've always transferred my favourite brakes to each new mtb. So for Christmas I treated myself to some Intend Trinity brakes. Expensive, but beautifully made and will hopefully last me for years.

I’ve been using Stan’s exo-core valves after the Fillmore valves and I love them. I can’t use presta anymore and will probably get exo-cores on my other bike.

for hiking I have several Adidas Terrex shoes, what's the best most grippy soles on alpine rocks ? the Continental sole on AX3 I bought others but nothing gives me as much confidence as those "car winter tires" under my shoes, had continental years ago on my XC and was very happy too (Sam Pilgrim rides for Continental btw) that said on the ebike schwalbe big betty magic mary works great this far, surprisingly good on up to 7" of packed snow (pedal height limit thanks to my new 155mm cranks, do not put these on a regular mtb you lose too much torque, ebikes don't care)
@jimmyjansson855224 күн бұрын
Sooo... @TheLostCo For bikepark, Magic Mary Radal front and rear or any other god combo? Like to try something new over Assegai/dhr combo 😁 or maby Michelin DH 22 🤔
@TheLostCo24 күн бұрын
Depends on weather! If you're riding muddy/wet conditions, then yes the Magic Mary front and rear would be great. But, if you're riding in dry and dusty conditions, those Alberts would be great. If you want a mid-aggressive setup and you're on a DH bike or something, the Magic Mary front and Albert rear could work great. We're hoping to see more tread patterns available in the radial casing, like the Tacky Chan, Big Betty, etc. -Mike
@jimmyjansson855224 күн бұрын
@TheLostCo Thanks 🙌 The bike i'm thinking of about this is my DH bike, (Gambler Mullet) so then many Mary and Albert is something to try out, ride a wide range of weather here in Sweden but more dry then wet mostly! Yes i'm hoping for more radial variants as well, at first i'm was looking at shredda but as bad ass as they look i think them ar a biiiit to aggressive in parks at moderate level 😅

I am going to try the Mary in a Radial up front (currently run Tacky front and rear)

Peronally, I found the Sram DB8 to be absolutely horrible brakes, even for the budget. I rode them for a few descents and my buddy had them for a year. We both had the same take on it. So scary when you squeeze the lever on steeper terrain and all of the sudden the brake power just doesn't increase...
@Favorites249914 күн бұрын
Use rubbing alcohol instead of hair spray.! Just drench them and they will slip right on.
@duckmtb595629 күн бұрын
Sooo... What's the difference between the schwalbe radial tires and just a lighter casing tire? Sounds like everything they're describing is just that, a lighter casing tire.
@wellsbrooker309729 күн бұрын
It’s supposed to have the support/strength of a thicker casing with much more compliance due to the lower angle of the threads I think
@jamesc687628 күн бұрын
theres a yt on rolling over tools and conforming around it at 8psi relative to other tires. more standing contact patch. i dont know about turning contact patch with thicker gravity casing.
@justinfournier128528 күн бұрын
You can run more PSI without losing the level of grip relative to other tires, so you will damage fewer wheels and get less flats. That’s why they used Amaury running 32PSI in the mud for marketing. I’ll try a set late next year as I’ve already bought Kryptotals and Highroller 3s for next season.

My best upgrade for 24 was the SRAM Transmission with 165mm cranks. The clutch on my GX AXS was horrible and the chain slap beat up my crank arm. SRAM warrantied the AXS (thank you Chris!) and I bought the Transmission kit from Lost Co.!
