I was a USAF pilot in the last year of the Vietnam War. I learned one thing: IF a country has dominance of the air over a battlefield...no matter HOW many enemy ground forces are put forward in a battle they will ultimately be destroyed. Air power and technology is "everything" in a war. The number of people in an enemy's army and navy is of no consequence.

A) this video is old B) even our supply equipment has offensive capabilities...look up Rapid Dragon as just one example. C) The US has been in near-constant military action, most of our troops are combat-experienced, including a lot of our Reservists. This can not be overappreciated as the level of effectiveness is so greatly enhanced that it easily adds a 10-1 advantage. D) We have tech that goes so fast, that enemy missiles can't catch up(DarkStar SR-72, NGAD). We have planes with supercruise at speeds faster than a lot of countries' planes in full afterburner. E) We know where everything is in the water at all times. Sensor arrays so sensitive they can detect sound from across the ocean and can see the Ocean floor from space. F) We own the space...the level of US in space is beyond comparison to the rest of the world combined...He who rules the air rules the ground beneath, and our space units ensure we own above and below the air.

Another thing that some fail to realize in relation to the sizes of their(China, Russia, etc.) defence deficits, against the US's yearly defense budgets, are that these deficits have been going on for many many years now, stacking year after year...these other countries can never even hope to catch up to U.S. standards, due to simply never being able to catch up technology wise...all they can hope to gain is the US's "TDT" (trickle down technology), whether they're purchasing it, trying to reverse engineer it, or downright espionage, it's already old tech by the time they acquire it...they'll never catch up!

The defense budget is large, but please keep in mind, its there for more than just to ensure we stay ahead and project power. The 3.0+% is not just a number pulled out of a hate. Remember we are part of NATO. NATO requires all members to contribute at least 3.0% of their GDP towards defense. It just so happens 3% of the USA is extremely big which then allows us to do a lot more world wide and drive innovations. This is why in a large part, why the USA citizens have been complaining about other NATO countries not putting in 3%. All of this is often lost in these types of videos. What is also lost, is most of that 3.3% is feed back into the USA economy via jobs. Think about how many jobs would be lost in the US if we cut the budget down to say $200B and how much then the other NATO countries would have to step it up to then cover the gap left.

Space Force basically protects military and essential satellites and monitors launches of missiles that could be a threat to the US and it's allies.

But US Resevists have almost as much experience as the full time military in battle where most countries have very poor reservists with little to no training and experience

Even they did not include fighter jets and other aircraft’s operated by the US Navy’s 11 aircraft carriers. Each one has about 50-70 aircrafts.
