Abigail...thank you for sharing...art is never easy... you know it's a double-edged sword. We have the gift, and it's also a curse. Please do your best to stay healthy...be kind, to yourself and others...hope you are still there, and if you live for art, as I do, we owe it to ourselves to survive, and live to tell...by all means, you are welcome to contact me anytime, via email, or via fb. Please take care.

I listen to this everyday. I'm an adult now but I was never given this advice - it was always that I had to look a certain way or do certain things to please other people in order to live a 'good' life. It's thanks to artists and writers (like Patti) who have shaped me and my world view. I was taught by them to be free and independent.

So much wisdom in one person. In some ways it doesn’t even seem fair (I say that with the utmost respect and admiration), but the amount of experience you have to cram into one lifetime to have a mind like her’s would probably break most of us. Thank you Patti 😊✌🏻🇺🇸

I love Patti Smith since she began her career and always followed her. She is so deep and philosophy in her belief system of life experience. In my humble opinion, she rises to the tier of a near Genius. Not only is she beautiful inside, but beautiful outside of herself with no inhibitions,of which she does NOT hold back. Lastly, boy what a true Artist of real ideals that are based on concrete life.

James W. Barrett I was hoping that the Internet was that one place that people could upload information and search for information and be selective about it. People choose not to listen, that's my experience so far.
@Transient901
@Transient901 8 жыл бұрын
Maria Chat you can't listen to something you cannot hear because it's been removed and deleted from the artificial information network. Not trying to argue your point or say its not possible. it just will not happen on a government controlled and monitored network. or maybe you just don't understand the complexity of technology and how easily it can be modified or monitored. And the internet started as a military communication system for the sole purpose of realtime information sharing world wide for the purpose of..... well you ponder why the war machine would want to be on the same page we the same time..

Yeah I wish there were moments like that on "regular" TV all over the world. Instead people are forced to half-ass their ideas out, no room for nuances, for real talk, for thinking out loud and giving time to let it sink in. That's one of the reasons we have so much hate, so much frustration and so many simplistic ideas flying around I think. There are many more wise "public figures" out there I'm sure, it's just very very hard to find them.
