Alice N Chains is my favorite. I'm from Seattle. Was strung out w my punk band boyfriend and highschool friends by 15. Then the streets of Seattle. I knew Mike. Poor guy. Methadone messed him up so bad. I tried to help him kick it. We went to the hotsprings w my Mom and some tents. I woke u he was gone. Couldn't take it. Kick kit not strong enough for him. I was super sick and ran out too. My mom tells the story better than me. So I was on the doctor for morphine many years later. They put me on synthetic. SHTF. Buprenorphine made me sweat masking it was clogging my lymph nodes so when I switched to methadone cuz it's easier to kick, the opposite problem started. 3 months and I just kicked methadone again! Rapid detox. I have some guitar picks from Mike's private funeral I am gonna make earrings from to Commemorate this. At least his Mom got to meet my daughter and see me sober. That was pre morphine but it was not much at all. I was nit high

Wow that’s incredible. AIC are my favorite band as well. Very crazy that you knew Mike and you lived in THE Seattle grunge/punk scene. It sounds like a tough battle you fought and I’m glad to hear you are sober now. And yeah those will be the coolest earings on the planet for sure🤘
