@julianbethel07 ай бұрын
@@jayray1495no bro. He isn’t saying that figuratively. This character actually isn’t a real character, he is, in the shows universe, a manifestation of the fathers negative feelings towards himself and white people. Home lander and those other people aren’t villains cause they are white, they are villains because they did villainous things. And they are also real people who did those very real things (in the Columbine example you’re trying to provide). This character in the show didn’t kill any kids or innocent people or anything villainous like that, black or not. He couldn’t have anyway, he isn’t a real character in the world of the show. He was meant to be temptation to get the father to give in to his dark impulses. It’s a not a “keep that energy” kind of thing I think you misunderstood what the other dude was saying that’s all 👍💯

Man, this scene is just brilliant, from the way it sets you up for something to be wrong with the main character glancing towards seemingly nothing to his exaggerated laughter at the television that introduces tap-dance man audibly through his laughter before you actually see him. How when TDM laughs he opens his mouth so wide you can see all his teeth, and then the show of connection between him and the main character with the exchange of the beer which tap-dance man doesn't really drink so much as drain hungrily, after which the tone of his voice gets lower before starting his iconic chanting of "whatcha gone do". It's really well done and gives you that same malevolent vibe you get from the ghosts of hotel in The Shining or the denizens of the black lodge in Twin Peaks.

All personnel within a 100 meter radius are to show now emotion, and not respond to any of his questions. He wears a black suit, and black top hat resembling a 1950s upper class man. All skin is a deep shade of black, with large, white, irregular rings around the eyes and face.He was found in 1963 when a Task Force was sent to retrieve a supernatural anomaly. He uses manipulation and physiological power to throw his victims into a murderous state. If unable to find a victim, he will kill or harm the victims loved ones to lower their mental barriers, allowing him to take control of their mind. Physical attacks do not seem to harm him, and keeping personnel with a high sanity throws him into a state of confusion.

"oooohhh I've seen that face before, and trouble come right behind" this line is chilling to the bone because this implies Henry isn't the first man the tap dance man haunted and provoked. Even if the T.D.M hasn't manifested visually for others, he poses the dilemma "if you feel like you're getting punked or disrespected, what will you do about it?" Take it like a good little boy? or show some spine. The problem with the display of pride is that people take it too far a lot resulting in death or serious injury. The "lay down and take it" destroys dignity and soul. third option? walk off the road and stop giving a damn.

Is it wrong to say that the tap dance man is my favorite character

Definitely not, he's a very well crafted and performed horror villain. Absolutely favorite character material

I fucking love this guy. Can't tell if that smile is enhanced with CGI or he's just that good.

I think what really ties this look together is how the actor naturally has a huge mouth. You can literally see all his molars when he smiles and it's terrifying with the makeup

I’m 3 years late to this but here we go: Everyone is wrong about who Da Tap Dance Man is. Da Tap Dance Man refers to a supernatural entity from African American folklore with malevolent and evil intents. By seeing him, it usually means death or bad omens.
