Morag certainly picks and chooses her facts. She shows us a chart telling us how short the time is to charge your EV to go 100 miles. Who the hell is going to waste time finding a charging port, getting out of the car, plugging in the car, getting their credit card and punching in the information and then doing it all again at the end of the charge for 100 miles worth of charge? NO ONE! When you finally find a charging point, you will at least charge it to 80% which will take you 3 times as long as that chart. And what about the consumer acceptance chart? That shows us the history of people buying the cars instead of gas cars in the past ... when they were still ignorant of the true problems of owning EVs. They are becoming wiser now and the acceptance rate now will decrease rather than increase like it has in the past. Your Taycan story is proof of that. I would consider an EV that was a second car if it was a small car for running around town. But since here in California, Governor Newsom (who wants to be President) is running up the cost of electricity continually, they are not economical. Good job on your videos. Hello McMaster, here is a viewer of your KZbin channel from the Netherlands. I watch on my TV with a different account and now respond via my account on my phone. I'm doubled over laughing at your EV videos. I completely agree with you, EVs are not the future. In an advertisement on Dutch TV, Hyundai says about an EV6 that it can drive another 100 km in 5 minutes of charging. Feel the progress, they say. What progress? I say, my 25 year old VW Golf (MK4) can travel more than 750 km after refueling for 4 minutes 😂. And you were standing in a parking lot with 2 charging stations. Imagine that all the cars in the parking lot are electric, how long do you have to wait before you can continue if 15 percent of all those cars have to charge. And the power grids cannot even handle that capacity. Fewer and fewer electric cars are being sold in the Netherlands and dealers are left with their stock. That's why they want to get rid of those cars and try to tempt you to buy an EV. There are also other reasons why the government wants us to drive electric, the data, but I am not allowed to say anything further about that. Thanks for your vlog, great fun and keep it up! Greetings from the Netherlands, Rick.

Geoff buys Cars video about a chap who had his EV’s software updated only to read through the T’s & C’s to find they’d installed Government Geo Fencing & Geo Timing technology. So because the EV has an SOS mode (a connected SIM card), his EV can now be restricted in range, restrict the times you travel and even switched off! - the chap was mortified, he took it back and made them change the car for a lesser model as he didn’t authorise this tracking software. The dealer didn’t even know. If you have an EV check the small print in the software.

I live in Lincolnshire and know large parts of it well, I knew the moment you left the M180 you'd be in a charging desert. There use to be lots of independent petrol stations dotted about too, but they got priced out years ago. Here's an idea for a challenge, try and drive a coastal route, would be interesting to see how viable that would be.

What do you mean you can't put a value on your time. Solicitors charge around £120 pounds per hour.

Hi mate. I worked in the motor trade all my life in Ford Dealerships. Electric cars are killing the Big Manufacturers like VW FORD. Electric vehicles are not the future. Car Manufacturers like Toyota have said they are not going to produce electric cars. Ford stopped producing Electric vehicles because people dont want a car that is not fit for purpose. As the ford ceo in the United States found out when driving a Electric car one weekend. He said range not good and wasting most of the weekend charging up his car. Producing these electric cars makes so much damage to the world environment just to make these batterys. Keep up the good work mate. Your work is amazing.👍
