Hi Maddie, hope you're reading this. I just wanted to say what a blessing you are. I've been feeling very anxious lately and just watching your videos alone has helped me relax so much. It takes my mind off things and makes me feel more 'normal' (I hate that word) so thank you for that. Xx

I remember the first time I braved going to the doctors for depression and anxiety and he said 'I don't get why you're here'. He was very belittling and for someone with suicidal thoughts that was such a bad approach for him to take. I've now gone to a different doctor and I'm on anti-depressants, battling my illness every day. I just have to remind myself that I'll get through this. Thank you for this brilliant, reassuring video! Fully appreciate you talking about the little things which I forget to do. Also, ive never noticed the jaw thing and now it really makes a difference. X

God, I just can't believe I have found your channel and this video. I've seen other youtubers talk about anxiety but it's never to the same extent as I have it. I've (relatively) recently increased my dosage of Citalopram from 10mg to 20mg and it's made such a difference. But before I was on medication, I was having such horrendous days where I didn't even want to wake up because as soon as I was conscious, this overwhelming anxiety (over no particular issue) just overtook me and I was filled with hot dread. I know you'll understand, and others will think this is an over reaction but after a while of the anxiety over powering my days and waking me up at night, everything stopped feeling worth it and even normal everyday tasks brought me to tears. It's so important to get help. I hope you're recovering okay x

I think I have anxiety myself, and I really struggle as my chest often gets tight, and I feel all emotional, panicky and the need to escape whatever situation, even if it doesn't seem like a big deal to other people. Thank you so much for this video Maddie. It's really helped and reassured me. I love these advice ones. Mwah xx

I find it hard to speak about anxiety to my friends as I'm only 16 and none of my friends understand, I can't go into school assemblies because I panic. It makes me feel very different and singled out but I'm trying to over come it, I went into the assembly for the first time in 2 years yesterday and I feel amazing for doing it! Your advice really helps xxxx

This is so inspirational, I have really bad social anxiety, I litrally don't meet anyone ( friend wise) the only person I'm comfy being around is my boyfriend, I could plan meeting a friend, and then I'll panic the day before and get so worked up! And I'll always cancel! So it's so nice to know other people's anxiety! And how they feel and deal with it

I've had anxiety every from when I was 14, I'm 33 now. These past 2 weeks or so my anxiety is worse than normal. I feel I can't function & im just suck still for hours before I can move ( in maybe isn't allways hours but it feels like it) I'm gonna have to make a appointment with my doctor. I don't have a cpn anymore because I was discharged last January. The only thing I feel gets me out of a panick attack is to be on my own & time

Thank you so much for this video Maddie, I suffer from bad social anxiety and I'm only 13. I've totally dropped out of school and it's so hard😔 my dad is paying for me to go and see a private therapist. And I like him but it's still really hard to open up to someone and tell them everything your feeling. I'm not going back to the school I was at and we don't really no where I'm going to go yet as I have to go to some sort of school to get an education! Wish me luck on what ever happens. Love you Maddie! ❤️

I think I have anxiety (and other problems too) i really want to see a psychiatrist/therapist because is want to know what's up as I'm worried with my mental health. but I just don't know how to ask my dad because I don't want to worry him or upset him :( any advice? thanks for the video really helped :)
@IEatCheeseCake24669 жыл бұрын
Your parents would be more upset if they found out how you were feeling and knowing that you thought you couldn't talk to them. Honestly, your dad will be so much happier if you told him rather than suffering on your own, and it will make you feel better too I promise:)

Does anyone get burning skin constantly with anxiety? x
@JaimieBennettChannel9 жыл бұрын
My doctor says I have anxiety and prescribed me some stuff to help me but i'm not quite sure it is, can anyone help? I get a really tight chest like you said but I also feel really sick and then I feel like i'm going to faint which is what usually happens or i'm sick. I worry about being sick so then start panicking more. I've experienced this ever since I got trapped in a glass elevator on holiday when I was 9. Ive always been that 'worrying child', this is why I think i'm not sure if it's anxiety or just worrying now and then. I mean I worry about when we park the car if someone is going to break in or steal it and it used to be worse, every minute i'd think of something bad but ever since my confidence has grown through dance, it doesn't happen as much. Is it just a phase? I still have panic attacks and stuff but i'm never quite sure, it's so confusing. I get what you mean by you thinking it's the end of the world, when I get bad 'anxiety' I think to myself "how can I get away....
@JaimieBennettChannel9 жыл бұрын
from this?" "I really want to faint or pass out right now just to get away from this feeling". After a panic attack i'm definite that I have a disorder but when I look back on it, I think i'm just being stupid.
@MuffinTopGirlLikeYou9 жыл бұрын
+Jaimie Bennett I can't answer for a professional but all I can say is that it either sounds like panic disorder or GAD. Look up both of them. It's okay to disagree with a doctor - seek other help from many charities in your area and they will most likely give you an appointment and find the best help for your situation. Stay strong x

This video actually helped me a lot Maddie, thank you so much!! But another issue is that I am afraid to tell my mom about these things, she already has so much to worry about and deal with. She has her own problems, and I just can't add to those by telling her. I feel like it would be doing more harm than good. I just don't know wot to do :(

Amazing video, I have depression and anxiety too and I can relate so much and even though I was diagnosed 6 years ago, it still makes you feel a lot more at ease hearing that other people are going through the same things. Talking so openly will help so many people, such a beautiful video. I have started writing a blog, literally only 3 posts and they are nothing special and are so basic but I am using as a way to vent and just talk about things that are on my mind, I want to be able to look back in the future and see if I have improved and tackled these issues and if I haven't continue to try. If anyone is interested in reading them hannahlewisblog.wordpress.com/ ...if they help anyone because they can relate or just are an interesting read I would be really happy! Thank you again for this amazing video Maddie!
