Beautiful Russ - great fun! And great watches! My favourite of the year is the silver and blue Bulova Computron which I haven't understood and therefore not appreciated for so long. At around 180 £ it's the best retro-scifi watch out there imho with a great history to it. Cheers mate, I love you 💙

Just looked at one I believe to be the same unit , it’s listed as Casio AE1500WH-1 I think if you change the last number in the model no. To 2 it gives you the blue colored variation . I hope that helps .

Casio snuck another G-Shock in at the end of the year, the DW-5000R, almost an exact 1:1 of the original DW-5000C. I wish they’d listed the water resistance in meters like the original. Even the bezel is the older style unstepped. I snoozed when it first came out but then got a notification from the website and didn’t hesitate - a real screwback with the brick pattern. Looking forward to your review.

I like both the Casios , though I’m one of the old farts with so so eyes 🥸, I’d probably go with the easy to read unit , although the Casiotron looks very cool😊. Of the analogue style I always prefer numbered easy to read dials , so your number one also looked super cool to me . I liked the zero west too , And the Vulcain Cricket with the see through back ….. super cool ! 😎

You do you brother. I need more than the sum of its parts. I need a watch with a story, with a meaning for being made. Not just because there’s a gap in the market for making cheap dirty dozen lookalikes!! I love Smiths, they aren’t Swiss made nor I they made with the same materials and manufactured in the same place as Vertex watches. That is reflected in the price. Smiths now are very well made watches, I’d go for the closest one that resembles the Deville ! The watch that went up Mount Everest!;) or a W10!
