If it's to wear on duty, a solar G-Shock just for fire-and-forget durability. If it's for more fashionable events, a Hamilton (Khaki Field or Murph) -- great American brand with a great military history and high quality, timeless designs.

Seiko snxs now that they are $244 on sale are not only not controversial but the best low end watch on the market looks wise. They went from my shznit list to probably my most desired watch outside of the new King Seikos which now have added Lume on the dial. The thing I like best about this channel is I can always rely on it to be aliexpress free. I am not a believer in luxury anything but watch for your midrange to low end picks. Excellent video Teddy, thank you! I know this wasn't at all the intent, but this review once again highlighted how little some brands need to accomplish in a year for their deeds to be considered noteworthy, e.g., marginally narrower wave lines on the Seamaster dial, slightly smaller Fifty Fathoms watch, or just about any minor modification to a Tudor BB. Contrast that with the novel Angelus chronograph, the refreshingly different Longines power reserve watch, the unique GS movement, the IWC eternal calendar, and many innovative designs from microbrands and independents that didn't make the top list.

I would also recommend Norqain - a family-owned independent brand producing quality Swiss watches. The Neverest GMT is an affordable quality traveler's GMT in a 41mm case with a bracelet or strap option, and an exhibition caseback to view the Kinessi movement. (The bracelet also has a micro-adjustable clasp, something I haven't found on many watches in this price range.) And the folks at the US headquarters in NYC couldn't be more helpful - can't say that about some higher-priced brands.

Got myself a credor vintage locomotive this year that ive just been loving. I got it fairly cheap and even though it's quartz it just has such a interesting design language and the wearability is unparalleled. They are a brand that I've had my eye on ever since I lived in Japan but have never really pulled the trigger on buying any of their pieces, the eiichi 2 is another one of their watches that I would consider buy, if I had the opportunity. Aside from the really cool niche of the brand, the fact that they actually make the spring drive watches that are smaller than 38 mm is a huge plus for somebody like me who has carpal tunnel and a small wrist size. The other watch from this year that I'm really happy about is my Benjamin james scarifour automatic. I think my tastes have matured this year as I started looking at rectangular, oval and square watches with more of a dressy style. I like that dress/sports style that watches have, and so many micro brands are putting out bangers that I've stopped thinking about most of the larger brands.

What a fantastic video! I would say I agree with many of the choices here. I think that Seiko GMT is very interesting... The Orient Bambino.. It's on my list. You, your team and families have a super 2025!
@WAMwatchesАй бұрын
Had not seen that last watch before. I’m sure it’s insanely expensive, but so gorgeous. The Murph will be my first Swiss watch and I couldn’t be happier. I do think you are being kind to some brands about their bands. GS, omega, Breitling, Longines, Sinn… are all providing substandard bracelet adjustment for the price they are charging. It’s not 2015 anymore, they all need to do better. Bremont is collapsing.. going down market into the most competitive space with third party movements… bad idea regardless of design. I don’t think you missed anything big, your knowledge is far greater than mine. I would have called out a Christopher Ward watch as well (titanium diver or Bel Canto) the brand has basically doubled in size this year and those along with the titanium Twelve really brought it home. Overall, great list!

Another year and more great picks! I'm not sure how I missed the Trafford watches but can see why they're selling, I really like the look of those. Your note at the end about Bremont; I used to have a liking for Bremont being British but now I'm completely off them. Their rebrand is so bland, so uninspiring and asking for relatively huge RRP's which just aren't worth it. The designs are generic and yes the green Supermarine's look cool but at £6500 there are plenty of other places to look and several more where you could get an equally good watch for less than half of that price. The fact that those are limited to 250 and they're still available tells you everything!

I understand the constraints to this year's list - not bad picks, but huge omission to leave out the Atelier Wen Perception Millesime Mu as that watch came in titanium and in 3 fully tantalum versions - a notoriously difficult material to machine for a case, much less an integrated bracelet. Speaking of tantalum, the Fleming Series 1 in Tantalum is also a big omission... Also I'd like to submit a De Bethune hourglass that was auctioned off in Hong Kong in the last month - wild that in high horology we can actually get an hourglass this year...
