I spent the 80s, my twenties, racing horses at Freehold Raceway. Every barn radio playing MMR, Bruce and Southside Johnny et al. Racetrack now a sad shadow of what it once was, no more top drivers and horses. No more grandstand packed with fans. I miss those days, and this song really speaks of how those days are lost to the mists of time.

Saw it live. Never saw Elvis, Frank or MJ in concert however I will remind everyone that all of those three performers had a comeback tour. Bruce never had nor needed a comeback tour. He started a new band then toured successfully then toured solo with an award winning tour then got back to his roots with the E Street Band. No comeback. And that's a pretty impressive resume. A Live Performer like no other. And remember no breaks and he never leaves the stage and rarely sits down unless it's a rare piano song. Yeah that's a BOSS. And luckily I saw it. Happy 75th Bruce. My life has been a good life but I am glad you were involved in it and got me through many bad times and made so many good times with your incredible concert performances and your songs that hit home for so many of us just trying to work hard and enjoy life to it's fullest and to always keep searching for that Promise Land. Thank you.

Steve add magic to this wonderful song. Great to see how Bruce look at him during his vocal solo. So missing today in 2023 with these auto pilot setlists.

Only Springsteen die hard fans can appreciate the interaction between band members. They know exactly what the other will do and when they will do it. One of the greatest bands ever to take the stage led by one of America's greatest songwriters ever. Thanks to Bruce and the E Street Band for making each day of my life that much better !!!

One of the benefits of having essentially the same lineup for more than 30 years. Too bad Clarence Clemons and Danny Federici are no longer with us. RIP.

There is nothing more exciting or emotionally charging to hear the entire audience sing any part of a Bruce song. Whether it is this one, thunder road, born to run, etc. When the audience sings with as much heart and intensity as Bruce, you know the song has a deep message.

I was at this show. What an amazing night. Steve is so damn talented. I love it. I wish I was a fly on the wall the day they met and had an insight of the appreciation and passion for music they both had that shaped their frienship forever. As a fan I thank them both for some of the greatest memories of my life. Seeing Bruce live over 200 times I promise u it never ever gets bored. Cant wait for the tour in 2020

Great song. And when Bruce as always tried to change things up letting Steve come in and add that powerful addition to the song. Wow! Lucky to have seen it live. Thanks again Bruce. Why do I ever doubt you? Shame again on me.

I was driving home tonight, I have my radio tuned to the E Street Band channel on Serious XM, and this song came on from a Concert in NC, 2008, I just started gushing tears. I was a fan of Bruce and THE Band for years, but it seems that lately, I have found a new appreciation and love for Them ...perhaps its the times we live in. I have never been to a concert, but hopefully someday I will be fortunate enough to hear Them live and in person. One can only hope.

Our internet is really slow out here, and it took forever for this to stream; however, it was more than worth the wait to see this one. You just have to love Bruce and Little Stevie. I love the strength and unmoving determination and smiling spirit that emanates from Bruce. I think I would feel very safe, if I could just get one little hug from him.
