I think that Flash is a very good answer against the aggressive T8, compared to earlier Tekken, so people see it a lot more now than ever. While Flash isn't so much different from T7 in terms of frames, but the way people play is drastically different, players tend to pressure more with mixups and +frames, but forget flash exist.

One of my mains is Yoshimitsu and after winning against a Leo (who quit) I was told that this is what us main Yoshis deserve for using such a broken character😂 I personally have no idea who spread this belief that Yoshimitsu is so broken, personally I find him one of the most overrated characters in the game (and Kazuya underrated) Yoshi remains one of the most defensive characters in the game with some new ways to attack since in T8 everyone received more ways to attack (which is also why I felt weird playing him at first)

"that bullshit move Yoshi has is a 6 frame startup" - some 12 year old chatter who literally just discovered what Tekken is about 2 months ago It amazes me how TMM's chat will literally moan and cry about ANY character and ANY tool they have, regardless if it's even one of the moves people are trying to get patched/balanced rn. If you whine about Yoshi flash you're a certified baby, full stop. It's literally a core aspect of his identity and using it properly actually requires timing to implement successfully without getting blasted, not to mention Yoshi has to be sniffing your breath to even be close enough to hit you with it unless it's mixed into a natural combo, obviously. Yoshi is definitely the most accessible he's ever been, don't get me wrong, but he's also more of an honest character than like 10 others right now so I don't understand all the moaning.

No issues about yoshi as a whole but the flash is was literally one of the if not THE best moves in the entire game before it was nerfed and it’s still insane. You’re a fool if you think otherwise, I’d understand if yoshi was lacking a df2 or had no hopkicks but there’s no real reason for you to say it’s a part of his identity he wouldn’t be crippled without it. It’s just a unique tool he has that you have to play around at all times vs a skilled yoshi. Jab pressure and frame traps become a huge risk verses him. A character can have a “op” move but still not op as a whole and that yoshi imo. You’re right he’s a solid character but flash is pretty bs at times and extremely frustrating to play against

However some other characters like dragunov and ling have moves that are just straight op with 0 counter-play. Most players who have a brain can realize if a yoshi is probably going to flash after he is slightly negative and delay their attack, with minimal drawback. It is annoying that it makes you play different dont get me wrong, but its not op
