How to actually play Kazuya vs low ranks: - df2 at round start and whenever you want - spam ff2 and auto electric - db4 and hellsweep whenever its your turn and you think they are freezing - try always to use 112(hit confirm the 2) as a block punish - Spam your 1+2 throw, especially after heat engagers or heat dashes( on block) - sprinkle in low jab into WS1+2 If you feel pressured - Use f2 or activate heat against pressure as well - if you get a knockdown spam ff4 multiple times to check if they techroll - Just once or twice per match use uf4444 - Learn 1 easy reliable combo and wallcombo - Have fun

You can't go from 1dan to TGO is one step by imitation. It's a progression. Today's winning strat is tomorrow's bad habit. No shortcut.

@NYG59 ай бұрын
@@bruhmoment8326 I disagree a little bit. On the one hand, yeah you can spam B2,4 and dickjab ws1+2 and pummel the brainlets to death, I suppose that teaches you what it feels like when the other guy is against the ropes, but on the other hand you can at least maintain spacing and hit them with demon paws and things like that, something that will translate to higher ranks better. Getting started in T6 I would do 1,2,4 and then df2 into counter hit, and would get big launch damage in scrub ranks but then hit the wall in yellow and didn't understand. Or I thought the whole game was about how fast you can whip out your electrics and that just got me to the point where when it connected it was great, but when it didn't I got destroyed. Tip for Asuka players in low rank. Please start with parry move. As soon as you hear that "Fight" sound press parry and thank me for free dmg. People in low ranks start mashing quick moves as soon as round starts Edit: Ok obviously dont start EVERY round with it. Just one of the three rounds you play against opponents. 60% of the players start mashing 1,2 as soon as round starts and they will get parried, those who dont start with it and see you parry, forget that it lasts for about 2 seconds. They wait a bit then try to hit you and still get parried. Obviously this will not work in high levels
@TheTyroofToriyama9 ай бұрын
I even saw a yellow Asuka parry after every hit but that okay style doesn’t go far It’s just easy to smash them when you know they’re about to do hit Hit them parry. Hit them parry. A yellow Asuka is the same except they just hop kick when you go low Then they go back to the parry when you start to play normal
@falconofthenight0089 ай бұрын

Hey MainManSWE, love the videos, had to say that I found your how to coaching series very enlightening and it changed the way that I view and play Tekken, I originally gotten to the middle of the orange ranks with Ling but felt as if I only really got there because not many people that I fought seemed to know the match up or just can't block her DF 3. I picked up Jin after watch your eight minute video about him with a focus of fundamentals and practicing what you talked about having a game plan in mind and waiting to see what my opponent is doing and I've noticed improvements in my own game play, that and 1 3 4 with Jin is a scrub killer in the beginner ranks, people blowing their load when they have heat etc, gotten some plugs and people that don't rematch. But overall I am loving Tekken hope I get to play some matches with you at some point. Thanks again MainMan.
@ShockinglyLiterate9 ай бұрын
Thank you for the advice! Spammers can be really demoralizing. As a beginner though, I'm worried that if I just use these two moves to cut through the low ranks, suddenly I'll be at high ranks where this no longer works, but I'll be playing against players who are so much better than me that it will be difficult to learn because I'm getting absolutely blasted because all I know how to do is two moves that don't work anymore. Would it not make more sense to try and learn your fundamentals and implementation of your good moves at a lower rank where you aren't going to be crushed for being kind of bad at it?
@Ben-uc9xn9 ай бұрын
Personally, I think if you know the fundamentals well enough to utilize "2" safe moves, then you are probably decent in general. I think that the 2 moves technique is good for just getting wins against spammers. Against regular players, I think it's better to play how you normally play.
@bruhmoment83269 ай бұрын
You can and that's how I got better but it will take a long time and you'll have to have a good mindset when doing this because trust me, you will get absolutely obliterated. You will have to approach every match with the goal of learning something new and test what moves that your opponent does is punishable. To test if it is, use your fastest attack that your character has which in the case for Kazuya, it's 112 which comes out at 10 frames. When it is punishable, start experimenting with other moves in your arsenal that come out even slower to see if you can get an even more damaging punish. This is the approach I took but it will take time and only with experience will you eventually get much better at the game.
@anthonychase69069 ай бұрын
That's when you start learning how to get better, these two moves are just a starting point and an example of how you can play. You add more moves and tactics later

I literally started to cry laughing when "hes not a begginer" at 45:00 and the "real match" started LOL

Nice, exactly what I need. I finished all PvE content and it's a reality shick to play ranked, people nowadays TRAIN before playing even the beginner ranks, it kinda kills the old days fun of playing fighting games on arcades (yeah, I'm old, I played MK1 and SF2 in the arcades).

I've been getting a lot better without playing online, because I'm playing with my brother locally and I feel like I could go online now and do well

@@Grux_ASGYeah, I plan on PC and live with my GF who doesn't play, so no luck for me on this front.

I'm having trouble with the opposite where I spend too much time in practice mode and then have no practical knowledge on how to use anything I learned on my opponent
@Grux_ASG9 ай бұрын
@@terrantony2635 hmm don't do that, id weaponize a frame trap and low option and immediately get practical experience with it.

This is great. I wish he’d used Devil Jin for it! But Kaz is a better choice for him for this for plenty of reasons.

Talking about how beginners play this is the exact same thing in actual martial arts, by the way, just turned up to eleven. Non-fighters will throw themselves at you and leave openings immediately if you just counter or defend their initial (horrendously bad) attacks.

That Lili let you get away with murder. He hesitated when you wave dashed in his face constantly instead of punishing you for it. He's crazy patient though.

how about a series zero to hero, where you grab a beginner watch a few of his matches and we follow his progression to the top, with tips etc ( i volunteer as tribute :) )

I'm currently downloading tekken 8 and this will be my first tekken outside of a quite tournament, if you can call it that, that me and my buddies did at a party on tekken tag 2. I'm exited to learn it and was wondering what characters I should try and wait to use till i gain some better fundamentals.

My main issue is getting use to the Heat System and utilizing it like you should…. Haven’t played Tekken since TTT2 so my head space is still on bound moves lol the Rage Art is not that big ac deal to me but even seeing how people can really apply pressure in Heat or extended combos with it I main Leo and be trying to do Tag 2 combos with her still lol

I’m getting stomped by people in lower ranks than I and then doing the same to people above me. I feel like the ranks are wildly all over the place currently, but maybe I’m just having a rough time opening people up with Steve. Thoughts? 2nd note, how accurate are those like “A+ blocker” stats or whatever? I think mine is showing S+ side swapper, A+ block up, A heavy hitter or close combatant. Idk if those really mean anything
