Too bad. They already said in interviews they want to make every character ‘equally broken’. Which is why they will do something about something as garbage as ‘safe power crushes’ and ‘homing throws’, but not things people complain Yoshi has or Dragunov. I honestly don’t like the direction but it’s more fun than T7 so I’m happy.

Thank you for finally doing this and understanding that Hwo mains don’t have it as easy as everyone thinks. He’s not a character you can just be good at right away, and as you level up it becomes harder to win with him if the other player knows what he’s doing

There are literally 0 characters you can be good at right away, once you get to players who know matchups any character will struggle... The thing most people hate with Hwo is his near infinite pressure, and most Hwo players tend to go "monkey ape" on the pressure, funnily enough, it's why most Hwo players give up in blue ranks because the spam doesn't work any more.

@@fronix5060you don’t understand, it’s above all a very difficult to pilot character. When people play well it is twice as hard to win than with an easy character because of this complexity which makes it harder to adapt etc.

19:03 Feng's backturn flow charts usually come from 4 moves: ss2, f4b, 3,3,4 (4 is cancelable with a back input), and 1,2,2b. Of these, only ss2 lets him do the flow chart on block without being interruptible. If you see you blocked an f4, 3,3,4, or 1,2,2 and they're backturned, it's absolutely your turn. That being said, bt-d3 crushes high (and maybe some mids, I didn't lab too many of those), and bt-2 powercrushes but is punishable on block. Backstep is also a good measure against his backturn because of bt-d3's clean hit property. If they use ss2 to start this often, sidestepping, ducking or good spacing will usually shut that down. If you suspect bt-d3 but don't want to risk taking a bt-2, a jumping, low crushing mid will catch a bt-d3 and won't take as much damage from bt-2 while also denying bt-2's heat engage property. A quick bread and butter for orbital combo is u34, F2, F3, F2, uf34f, UF4, dash 34, 3~4, HB, f34, f3, 4~3. About 83 damage

That’s 80 damage with the just frame on lightning halberd and you dont always have heat available to call this a bnb combo. You can get 79 dmg with no heat if you do U3+4, F2, F3, F2 micro dash RFF 3, UF3+4F, UF4 T!, dash into motion switch F3, 4~3 but it needs a deep dash and the second hit of lightning halberd doesnt connect on smaller characters so just do F3 into B3 or UF3+4 for wall-carry!

One of my friends and I challenged each other to learn a character the other hates facing so that we can play long sets against the character we suck against. He challenged me to play Howarang and I challenged him to play Ling. And Hwoarang is so far from pick up and play. My friend says the same about Ling But I've been liking Hwoarang. He's quite fun. Just the responsiveness on the buttons feel great and different from any other Tekken character. Whether you're running your offense or doing combos, etc.

Thing is hwoarang is easy to pick up and just play to have fun and quick succession on low ranks until you hit a brick wall where you have to start to learn the game and his really good combos which arent easy cause he has tons of options AND a lot of people on intermediate ranks know how to play against him which makes it even more difficult

To be fair hworang has been broken since tekken3 until hes nerfed hard in tekken8. As a main hworang its really hard to play him on high rank. hes down 3-4 is so predictable and he lacks a good 50/50 like most of the characters.

Basically the higher rank you reach, the more your account prowess goes up. Account prowess goes onto multiple characters, so for example my devil Jin is Mighty Ruler but I play against people who are usually at least 180,000~ prowess because I have 195,000~ prowess. I’m also pretty sure ranking up other characters increases prowess too, but most times it’ll just be because somebody has one character levelled higher

Idk I'm still gonna ft1 and block every single Whoreang I come across. I absolutely despise this character since Tekken 7 and he's become even more obnoxious in T8. Playing against other characters over time gave me some knowledge how to fight against them, but with Whoreang (and yes, I refuse to call him anything else) it's always just mashy randomness for me. I'm not gonna go and lab every single move that he can do out of every single of his stances (which will still barely help). He's not fun to play against at all. Just look at the round on 12:20, for christ sake. It's a constant blender of guessing where the Whoreang will hit next with all his leg strikes that look annoyingly similar and are almost always plus on block so you just sit down and wait. Ew.

I liked fighting against him in Tekken 7. In Tekken 8 it's another story. The amount of tracking and tracking mids is ridiculous. And he got way stronger lows and a bunch of launchers. In Tekken 7 he got a launcher years after launch and his lows were meh and had bad tracking. In Tekken 8 he is a complete character with zero weaknesses, like most characters.
