I use mine with a 1.5-2” adapter and the Kegland collection vessel. Works a treat. Also, dead easy to drill holes in the legs to get them exactly the height you want.

Love mine. If you drill extra leg holes, you can add a bottom valve and still fit in an undercounter fridge.

I am in Aus and I have two of these fermenters. If I may offer some of my observations from me using my units. I have my cooling connected to a G20 KL chiller. The first thing I had to do was ensure that the chilling coils which have an offset in the lead in tubing are oriented toward the outside of the fermenter. I connected mine as you did in this video and found that the position of the coil repeatedly interfered with the floating pick up because there is very little room between the tubing of the pick up and the coil and the thermowell tube. I turned my coil to be further away from the thermowell tube. The second thing I have found is that if you push the temp sensor all the way to the bottom on the thermowell tube in real Iife with a real fermentation happening then the thermowell tubing is actually in the trub at the bottom of the fermenter and was giving an inaccurate reading of the temp of the wort. I fitted a piece of silicon tubing into the thermowell tube so that the sensor for the chiller was actually in the middle of the fermentor and not down toward the bottom. I also have the insulated jackets that KK supply for the Apollo series and if using them on the Titan it will restrict how you may want to use the side ports. To access the bottom port you will need to unzip and open the jacket to get at the tap. The jacket may also limit the length of attachments that a brewer may want to fit to the bottom if using the jacket. I use the G20 for cooling and a simple wrap around 30 w heater belt for heating, all controlled through the G20. via the one thermowell and sensor. I hope this may help people when setting up the Titan.

Nice one! Thanks for the additional information!

Space on the lid is an issue when installing the cooling coil. Just noticed the thermowell is different from the unitank plunger. You guys have that in stock?
@themaltmiller84384 ай бұрын
No we don't have the plunger as a spare, it's the one from the snub nose Apollo

Do you have any information on the o ring you change for the coils to be pessure tight?
@themaltmiller84387 күн бұрын
Sorry but I cant remember off the top of my head but I think they were keg post o-rings!

What's the measurements from top to bottom with the 90 degree elbow on the bottom valve attached? Got 70cm of height in my fridge! Got a feeling it won't fit! Guess I'd need to drill new holes in the kegs to get the dump valve as close to the bottom of the fridge.....
@themaltmiller84384 ай бұрын
Hey Mate! Just measured it for you, it's around 80cm with the legs extended for the elbow to fit.

Better get a new fridge then! Thanks!

Did you add a collection jar after the valve or just run into a bucket?
@themaltmiller84384 ай бұрын
Just out into a jug. You could add some form of collection vessel or a barbed tri-clamp fitting to take it down to a smaller size and drain into something to harvest the yeast. Loads of options!

Are the lids the same as the Kegland ones? I'd be interested in this if I could fit my hop bong to it!
@themaltmiller84384 ай бұрын
No, it’s a different lid. However Keg King have recently launched a new stainless steel lid which has a 2” triclamp port. Not currently available in the UK but we will keep an eye out for them should they be brought in by the distributor

@@themaltmiller8438 hmmm interesting. Will keep an eye out then! Cheers 🍻

The lids are slightly smaller.
@Keg-King4 ай бұрын
@@metalheadmutthomebrew you will need a thicker black oring instead of the our red orings and then all our lids will be usable on the other fermenters. If you want to use a dry hopping under pressure tool, you will need to use our brand new Universal Apollo SS lid that has a 2in TC at the top.

Would the RAPT pill work in a s/s tank?
@themaltmiller84384 ай бұрын
It will work, yes. Especially as this tank has a plastic lid. You might find some reduction in signal strength though.
@stripeyjoe4 ай бұрын
It does. I have mine in a larder fridge with a RAPT temp controller on the outside. The Pill connects up with no problems.

Pretty pricey with all the accessories combined. Will stick with my plastic Apollo for now. Cheap beer taste better 😊🍺

That's the great thing about brewing, so much scope for everyones own particular interests within the hobby.
