Hey JM! I am 27 years old and going on 9 years of farming. I have farmed all over the world and in many different climates, and with that there is definitely the ebbs and flows of inspiration and also times of being burnt out. I just wanted to say that content like this still keeps the fire burning in me to eventually create a homestead/market garden business for my family to flourish for the rest of our lives. At the moment I am managing 5 acres with another 5 acre farm being built at an Agrihood here in South Florida. Cheers and thanks for all you do!

Your book inspired me... or more precisely empowered me to have a second go at farming. I am a week away of moving onto the new farm and starting a JM style market garden in Victoria, Australia! This is my favourite video of yours. It shows the journey and the treats - family, berries, swimming, fun. Thank you so much JM and family. You are a blessing to the great turning towards a new ecological economy of care of self, others, and planet. BB

wow thank you so much, I couldn't be happier to hear this ❤️ I wish you the best of luck in your market gardening journey, I'm sure it's going to be beautiful. Just don't let the challenges obscure your view of the good stuff, always practice gratitude, and you'll be enjoying the good life 😉

Thanks J.M. for the review of your family's farm. We got your book and were so glad to see a new way to grow. My dad was a conventional row crop farmer. So it was a radical change for us, but a good thing. We adopted it and never looked back.

I'm working on it brother! My partner and I moved to the territories to get better jobs that will allow us to save for a land purchase. The outrageous increase cost of land in the last few years is not helping, but we are optimistic and hoping we can achieve our dream of starting a small farm in a few years . God bless and keep up the good work JM!

JM thanks for everything. I know you inspire many farmers and teach many growers, but I wanted to share that you inspire us city dwellers as well, in smaller ways. Watching your videos and reading your book has made me think critically about my food purchases, my home garden, and conversations with friends and family about the importance of your and many others hard work in the field. My connection to nature has also greatly increased and I think about how everything in my yard is connected. Even your video on your mental health helped me reflect on the pressures we put on ourselves and the importance of reconnecting with yourself and family - and I am no farmer! Thanks for the 20 years. I look forward to 20 more years and supporting you and the industry in any way possible (in my city dwelling capacity).

Hi JM!! Your farm and book were my inspiration. We are starting our 3rd year of market gardening. I had to go in a different direction on some things, but thank you for sharing all of your knowledge. We are farming veggies, eggs, and just added honeybees. I wife/girlfriend bakes sourdough bread based items. I re-read your book each winter, and always find another insight. Thank you again for sharing your journey!!!

@@TheMarketGardeners Thank you JM. We have heavy Clay soil. Still tilling but using bark mulch in the walkways to suppress weeds, and then tilling it in to add soil organic matter. When I get the soil organic matter better, I will be able to broadfork easier.
