Great teaching professor!! I am in a hebrew school and love it! You break it down to a clearer understanding. This is so helpful. Toda. Raba!

Totally getting excited and it is world class teaching, great blessing to students like me in India to learn Hebrew in a perfect manner which is gods language.

Now we're onto nouns! The definite article has the most complicated pointing rules of all the things you can stick at the front of a word. The decision table on page 55 is a great help. Don't worry, next lesson's inseparable prepositions are a lot easier.

I would really like to know where I can get the textbook and work book. This is really great teaching. This class is connecting the dots for this self taught student.

I would bet money the question at 8:30, "is this primarily for chanting," was asked because the thinking was, "so I don't have to memorize this, right?"

is it really akla and melek? My audio torah says more like ahla and meleh but a bit stronger, like J in a Spanish name Jimenez. It's כ without dagesh.
@SINC0MENTARI0S

Yes, I think the correct pronunciation kh rather than k, since there is no dagesh despite being a begadkafet letter.

Thank you for these lectures. I have one question about the Alefbet. What’s the difference between Tav and Tet? How to distinguish them? It seems both act as “T”. Can someone please explain?
@cosmokaulitz22
@cosmokaulitz22 3 жыл бұрын
In biblical Hebrew they are different. For example taw with a dagesh is T as in tea and without the dagesh it's pronounced as the as in through. Tet is a complicated one... Similar to the Arabic ط which is a t with emphasis...

@@cosmokaulitz22 I prefer the reconstructed masoretic pronunciation myself. How cool to hear the sounds as close as possible to the people who put the vowel points in. Then we can reconstruct biblical pronunciation… kick ass dude. Kick ass.
