I, when I was introduced did not even know it was called that. My pre- high school days I was introduced to the concept of sets. I was just a novice drawing circles and labeling them, without knowing what the fuck I was doing. The teacher who was teaching me in primary school, did not know what the fuck she was doing either. Word man. I was using an abacus in kindergarten without being told, that was what it was called. We learnt to divide the beads in hundreds, tens, and units. I did not know what the fuck I was doing.

Great respect to the math sorecerer. I was hired by an evil company to do finance after i studied maths but I lurk the deeps of the web to study mathematics in my spare time. and the math sorcerer is a priceless channel. love what this guy does. Hopefully i can make it so i can go back to studying math full time :'(. Even watching the beginner videos get me nostalgic of my start in mathematics.

The Math Sorcerer, I never knew professors can have their own offices. Wow. That is new to me. I love to see the layout of your office. I love to see professors' rooms that they use for researches, and see also their libraries.

I love seeing professors' offices, those at universities and homes. When I was a kid, I used to stereotype all professors as old refined men in tweed suits and dixie bows, those old-schooled types with posh accents. I imagined their offices full of antique furnitures, big curtains with mothballs, libraries with dilapidating shelves, threadbare rugs, etc. Like this example. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aorJY6WkjsqCb7s

This is the most math I have ever learned in 17 minutes. Felt like the absolute basics when you described it, but if you talked about these concepts to someone who doesn’t know math, they would look at you funny. Keep it up big dog. Don’t take naps

this is exactly the explanation i needed when i first hit the topic of functions at school. i was desperately searching for answers on "what the hell are these functions? what do they mean? w h y?" that made sense to me and literally nobody around was capable of creating a decent explanation. damn i'm happy i found your channel! but still, why don't they explain the whole concept at schools tho?
