i’m 16 born in 2003. my dad showed me this game when i was very little and he would always talk about the last stage of the game. being very little i never got there, but i always tried. every time i come back and play this game, i think of him. i miss him a lot!

Every tune is iconic in this game. I remember the game being so intense and busy as a kid, the music just kinda passed me by. But listening to it now in isolation I can see how great it is. If I had to pick a favourite (and it's a tough call) it would have to go to 'Fortune.'

In case anyone cares, the original track ordering is as follows: Atlantis 6's and 7's Fortune Candyfloss On The Mend Doctor Frog Night Shift Steady Pulse Writing this comment because I'm rather sensitive and don't like to hear the "wrong" track play next 😂 I devoted hours and hours to this game when it came out and absolutely *loved* it! Also, the soundtrack was an absolute treat to listen to on my SoundBlaster AWE32 🤤

I know what's up with that? I remember a couple years ago I was so excited to be able to play the game again on Playstation after over 10+ years of never playing it, and when I found out that there was no music I felt like throwing the whole console out the window. I was so annoyed!

The music actually is on the PSOne files, but the PSOne has no inbuilt midi player and they didn't bother to convert them into music files that the PSOne can play.

This is very close to the orginal as it can get but also sounds a bit more modern. Very well done, thank you! If you ever redo it on this track: please switch the bass to a frettless bass guitar as It soundes on the orginal. Sounds jazzier. :)

As an old Might and Magic lover, it always saddens me to see the inevitable 'not Heroes though' Old Might & Magic kicks ass, it looked at what AD&D and their game series did and created a nice patch of open-world exploratory games when Elder Scrolls was still in diapers. But those games just kinda faded away. I love Heroes but it feels really unfair that it always gets the spotlight.
@-Nudal2 жыл бұрын
@@KnownAsKenji I certainly hear you there. As far as games of the same ilk there really isn't anything quite like them coming out anymore either. The Grimrock games were more similar to the older AD&D games really, and M&M 10 felt more in line with the later parts of the M&M series such as 6-9. Even those are nearly a decade old at this point as well.

@@Harjawaldar Yep. Well, it functions by you giving it a MIDI cable in the bum from the computer. It then played the same MIDI files, only with much better instruments and effects than the default MIDI soundboards that came with the regular soundcards. Not sure where the sound goes, then. Perhaps from the SC-88 and into an input on the soundcard? Not sure how it works when the music is played on an external machine and the SFX are played by the regular soundcard.
