Nice video. This bag also came up in my search for a daypack. Ended up going with the Matador 18 and it’s been perfect for me and I share the same complaints- no front stretch pocket and the top pocket goes too far down. Will look forward to your full review.

I do love my beast 28. I was going to get the 18 for Disney, but I really wanted the front pocket. I figure it’s perfect for a rain fly, ponchos and whatever toy my tot is logging around and no longer wants to carry.

Gregory has always made well respected hiking packs, so no surprise this one looks well designed and built. The Nano 20 reminds me of Osprey's Talon 22, although the Talon has a substantial waist belt which you are trying to avoid.

I had a shirt lost of about 4-5 packs and the talon 22 was in it. I saw a guy with one at the PA Renaissance fair this year. The hip belt didn’t look at bulky as I though. But I much prefer not having it at all.

Nice review. Can the waist strap be tucked into the pack? According to one video I saw it could go behind the back panel in those diagonal slots.

Yes they can! I actually noticed this a short time after filming. I was organizing my gear closet to see what I could see and I tossed this pack face down and noticed the little “notches” behind the back panel. I believe they are there specifically to tick away the waist strap. There is not channel that goes all the way through. But the lower bit along the bottom seam goes deeper than the top. So I think this is for the clips to slip into and tick the access webbing in the rest. I have carried this bag yet, so I don’t knowing you can feel the clips in the panel, but I suspect you will not feel them.

Agreed 100% on hip belts, and being a BIG guy, props to Gregory for dropping this pack in the "Plus" size... Have one enroute...👍

Does the water bladder compartment have a sleeve? If I’m using it for a laptop instead of a water bladder.

It is a separate "sleeve" but it is far to small to fit a laptop.

I just bought this pack. Do you know what size water reservoir it can hold?

I’m not really sure. I don’t use water holders very often. Really only when Mtn biking. This can probably fits 2-3l bladder. Might say in the specs on the site.

Can a 32oz nalgene fit in the water bottle pouch, if so how tight of a fit is it?

@@alexisrobinson6186 I don’t know for the 20l. I believe it did, but I have sold this bag, and I can’t 100% remember if it did. I still have the 24l and can check that if it helps.

Nope. This is a hiking pack. There is a space for a water bladder, but it it mush to small for a laptop.

Is this the burnt amber color?

No. That was out of stock when I was ordering. I forget the name of this color. But it was not a blaze orange color. It was a medium orange.

The Nano 20 does not have tracking poll loops. The 24 does through.
