@@CccoastI feel sorry for you Americans! Maybe people are acting stupid because Trump is acting stupid? The corona virus doesn't kill healthy humans... So get healthy and stay safe! Here in the Netherlands we only wear masks in public transport and high risk area's... Nature always finds a way and humans are not being very kind to nature... That is why a lot of humans have to die! Let us hope the nuclear power plants will be shut down and dismantled before the micro nova hits planet Earth! The end of days is coming in the form of the corona of the Sun! Corona virus is a joke compared to 2 million degrees Celsius and a magnetic storm which will destroy all electric devices... There will also be cosmic lightning and a flood wave of more than 4000 meters high, for the people who are not being hit by the initial blast!

Phantasialand hast got different themes like Africa, wild west, Asia, Berlin, some kind of magic forest and now this new steam punk theme. Every area is created with so much detail and love, it's absolutely fascinating :) I'm lucky I grew up in the area. I hope you get the chance to see it one day :)

And if I remember correctly, PhantasiaLand has just as many planning restrictions as the merlin parks. If this is what PhantasiaLand (and let's face it, A LOT of european parks) then merlin can pull their fingers out and give us unique IP's and themed areas and not bloody franchises all the time.

This is theming into the next generation, I am a hughe Efteling fan, this is different all the way, but brilliant I must admitt. Actually the ride itself is an extra in this case, it doesn't surprise me it took 4 years to build this, and you know what, it's a Vekoma, makes me proud as a Dutch citizen!

I went last week for the second time and it was just amazing, I've been to Efteling and Disney but Phantasialand still takes the cake when it comes to theming (and rides) for me. They are so unique and nothing feels dated, sure there are a few rides that are very old and should be removed or refurbished but those are heavily outnumbered by the incredible rides.

It looks Amazing, Phantasialand has come so far in the last 20 years ever since that fire they had. Every year they just keep building and improving with new rides but most importantly FANTASTIC THEMING like what a true Theme Park should do! So glad you rode it Shawn, great coverage again! Had the pleasure of experiencing Rookburgh and staying in the Charles Lindbergh hotel last weekend for my brother’s 30th. It really is one of the most unique and immersive themed areas in the world I believe, and the coaster is a beauty. Rookburgh and FLY are right up there with the best in Florida for me in terms of theming and the overall package. Glad to have watched your videos to discover this gem

You haven’t lived yet mate. UK is known for being the originators of rollercoaster concepts but foreign theme parks take the theming and ride experiences to a whole different level. Make sure you visit theme parks outside of the UK when you can.

I'm only 10 minutes in, but I am so impressed by the theming. It is top notch....reminds me of going to Walt Disney World back in 1972 when I was just 6.....but being blown away by the theming then. It is nice to see that other theme parks are finally up to that level.....and really blowing it out of the park (pun not intentional....no really it wasn't.). :D

Did you notice, they made it look like the supports are rusty? Its an AMAZING detail in my view... btw, i had similar reactions as i saw it for the first time, was totally mindblown. But to me F.L.Y. beats Taron, because of the brilliant overall experience, and the rare position you are in riding a flying coaster.

The anticipation, the absolute state of wonder and almost rush of adrenaline that you ( and us the viewer ) gets is hard to take in. It's like a whole new world, full of industrial theming sights, sounds and no doubt smells? A steam punk dreamscape, or nightmare? The senses overload just hits you like a coal shovel, which with all the piles of it around appears to be sadly missing? Maybe soon we'll see steam punk actors mingling with the eager visitors, creating a living, breathing area full of the hussle and bussle of this fantasy world. I felt as though I was walking around with you, eyes wide and heart beating fast, my brain almost, but thankfully not bursting with the insane amount of data it was struggling to process. I take off my tall hat, with the googles attached of course, and bow to you kind Sir before boarding the airship waiting high above and slowly disappear into the clouds of rising steam.

I would be interested about your opinion when I ask you if you prefer Phantasialand to Europapark (in my opinion the two best theme parks in Germany by far!!! And as you might have noticed there is always a lil dispute about which one of these parks is the best in Germany) so personally I prefer the Europapark to Phantasialand (because it’s way bigger/I love Rulantica and it has way more and varied attractions) but at the same time I’m overwhelmed by the theming at Phantasialand (Klugheit and now Rookburgh are incredible!!!) so yeah what do you think?

When i was at phantasialand, the quees of every ride except for taron where really short. So I needed to wait lik 5-10 min for an ride and 10-20 min for front row. It’s currently my number one coaster right now, whiteout even an little contest, and I’ve ridden quite some coasters.

Managed to spam this ride over the last few days (three times in half an hour whoop whoop) and it’s brilliant, one thing I would say is wear a jumper or coat. The shoulder restraints are quite stiff and the shape of them means they cut into your collarbone a bit while flying. I think it’s just because of the position, your body weight is pressed forward onto the restraints.

Phantasialand already was a perfect theme park, with a great selection of long, heavily themed coasters, inside a small park. And now they add one more. Most parks have that 1 main ride, but they have 3!

Hi Shaun 🖐 I loved your excitement, can’t blame you though. I would be exactly the same 😂. That 4 year wait was well worth it in the end though , right? It is so mental how well thought out it is and is very unique how the seats move around . It’s so smooth and quiet. but I guess it is brand new 😃 The queue is a very long walk , but lots of great moments to stop and take it all in.
