I know you said that some of the rocks looked a bit tired on the rapids but I like the overgrown moss on the rocks as it gives it a more authentic and mystical feel, especially if its secretive, discovery themed ride

The trains of MPXpress (Luky Luke) are the colors of the Bandits of the show (Yellow/Black clothes), thats the reason why the color on the trains are like this.

They worked on the MP Express while the Park was closed but because they opened they put the Trains back on track so that the guests can ride it. The ride is still work in progress.

@@ThemeParkWorldwide but it is actually confirmed by the park that the track will not be repainted en the trains have actually been repainted already. They painted the trains black and yellow to represent the Daltons, which are the four villain brothers in the Lucky Luke comics.

Due to the Corona some rides/shows are closed untill further notice, The Lost Temple, Time Riders, Roxy 4d theatre, the Stunt show and the parade. The Lost Temple is a very nice themed ride but because of the ride itself, it is just not the ride for most people anymore. In normal times the ride is open for every 15-30 minutes unfortunately. But for now there is no new plan for this ride yet. Time Riders is gonna be rethemed but not the near future again because of corona. And MPXpress (Luky Luke) has not been done yet with the retheming next year it is going to open as the fully new themed ride. Hope this information will help you.

the yellow and black trains on old mp express fit really well with the new theme because lucky luke is a sherrif and in the same show you have the daltons which are thiefs and they wear yellow and black clothing when in jail and the uniform of lucky luke is also yellow and black

The front of the park looks really nice. I love how nicely themed the Star Trek coasters queue was...WOW! Excalibar was awesome looking as well. I'm with Charlotte there, I don't like the flat spinning rides at all. I get really sick on them. I wouldn't want to ride that drop tower either, that looks like an awkward position to be in the standing up position going up and then being dropped...wow you are very brave Shawn.

From 1996 to 2004 this Park named „Warner Brothers Movie World Germany“. So, its reminds at „Warner Brothers Movie World Australia“. Now this park is owned by Parques Reunidos.

Germany is next to the Netherlands. From top to bottom its kind of Netherlands and Germany then below these its Belgium and Luxembourg, then there is France, and the you got Portugal and Spain. In the early years of the park it was called Warner Brothers Movie World. Since 2005 it is called Movie Park Germany.

They wanted to open Lucky Luke the Ride this year, but because the Theming objects are made in China (and the Factorys are closed) they didnt even finished the Painting of the Trains and just opend it as MP Express for this Season Yellow fits into the Lucky Luke color theme tho.

The yellow-black trains are the main color theme of the Daltons from Lucky Luke. Because of Covid19 they haven't finished the Theming of Lucky Luke the Ride this year but they opened the ride only a few weeks ago, so the guests have not do without

Brought back some memories this vlog. Visited here about 11/12 years ago. Any idea what van helsing replaced? I can’t remember what was there? I remember thinking when I was there that the park wouldn’t have much of a future so it’s good to see they’ve added a couple of decent rides and re themed the water rides since I was last there. The kinda park I’d visit if in the area but it’s not one I’m going to add to my list anytime soon.

You seriously need to visit universal studios Singapore as that is more movie and tv show based. They do have some good rides but the universal studios japan is the best just be careful as some of the IPs are very different than what you know from California and Florida.

For the fact that the park was built by Warner in such a way that it does not withstand the German weather conditions and was then completely run down by sixflags, the park now finally has a proper management and a good sponsor. Not enough for a replacement of the SLC but well, at least there will be a new theme and new trains. Bandit is not a stair simulator anymore. Actually, every attraction is modernized bit by bit and that's great for a small park like this one.

2021 will be the big addition you are hoping for. So my guess is you will be visiting Movie Park in 2021 for sure! :D Rumors are out there for some trackless dark ride with a big IP. The park has a cycle of around 4 years for big new attractions, the last being Star Trek in 2017.

With the rapids right next to Nickland, it feels like (even though its a "dead brand") Wild Thornberry's would have fit better, but Excalibur still looks cool. Carowinds used to have a Wild Thorberry's water ride (It might have just been a retheme of their log flume). They took it out for Intimidator

Hey Shawn, with the social distancing measures in mind. They do this the best in Walibi Holland in my opinion. Instead of waiting in line there is only a virtual waiting time for every big attraction. So whilst you are waiting you can do the smaller rides or enjoy the sun.

I couldn't believe the similarity to Germany's 'Movie Park'! You have to look it up. Also, in Queensland we have, 'Seaworld'. Back in the 90's it had the 'Bermuda Triangle' ride. ( Almost identical to Movie Park's, 'Area 51') Unfortunately it's no longer there.☹️ Anyway, just a bit of trivia for you. Stay safe and enjoy your travels. Maybe one day I'll catch up with you.

Nice Review! This seems like the Movie park that I used to know. One train on the popular coasters during full summer holidays in corona time. Open popular rides one hour later, no front section for opening despite nice main street. I feel that Movie park Germany's policy seems no good. But the rapid and Bermuda Triangle/area 51 are still very good rides. But to me, it just seems to me that they don't care about their customers. 2th... You don't know Lucky Luke? I thought all of Europe knew him. Walibi Belgium's western area used to be called 'Lucky luke city'. Dalton terror and Calamity mine are characters based on the comics. Maybe it's a good name for Bandit and High fall.

Always appreciate your honest reviews. Looks like somewhere I’d combine with other parks, but probably not go out of my way to visit. Checking masks in the queue and making people sanitise hands is the right thing to do. Alton Towers should take note!

So on the Area 51 ride they did actually put you together with other people without any distance? and the same for the drop tower, that seemed like everyone was right next to eachother as well? It's weird I've been there twice now and I've not been on those 2 dark rides, or area 51/whatever it was called before, it was both really busy hot summer days... One thing that always bothers me at MPG is the lack of queue time indicators, if you see a queue almost popping out of bounds, I found it so dishearteneing to go on it at all. Esp with coasters just not being very enjoyable anyway...

As with all refurbishments money is always the deciding factor, on what can or can not be achieved. For example, they love to exchange the rockwork in Excalibur but that would have been much too expensive. Same goes for the volcame turned mountain at area 51. I think they did a fantastic job with what they had, and created a very good experience for the visitors. As for the simulators time riders/lost temple. They can't open because of the covid 19 regulations, having large groups of people in close distance together indoors. There is apperently not enaugh air exchange. They will reopen once the measurements can be quit. The 4D cinema is also closed due to such regulations and not enaugh seats for a propiate operation. The stunts how is closed because there a only 2 exits and with the regulations it would take too long to get people in and out. Last thing, the old ice age ride was completely broken down as of now. Before that, it was used as an Halloween maze for the last 2 years. The new attraction will use the old building, but it will be complete new. If you want to get a bit more insight, I'd invite you to check out some of the behind the scene footage on the KZbin channel from ridereview.
