This excellent wooden roller coaster opened at the park in 1996 and was re-profiled for the 2023 season. The ride was originally manufactured by Custom Coasters International and stands at 85ft tall with a total track length of 2,956ft. The ride was re-profiled by The Gravity Group!

It’s pretty much exactly like Rampage at Alabama Adventure except with more airtime, a slightly shorter ride duration, a shorter height, and in my opinion a slightly worse setting. It’s probably also smoother. Rampage is great and I can’t imagine how much I’d like Megaphobia!

Megaphobia Was One of the 3 rides I went on when I went to Oakwood and it was a shame when I went because it absolutely poured down with rain on the Saturday on the Sunday it was amazing weather but on the Saturday when I went it absolutely poured down and I only did 3 rides those were Megaphobia Speed no Limits and the Bobsled

Ride looks smaller but fun!! My all time favorite wood rollercoasters that I have ridden are still #1 The Voyage at Holiday World and #2 Ghostrider at Knotts Berry Farm. I don't really consider Lightning Rod a wood rollercoaster anymore. How does it compare to those rides?

I rode it in 2020 & it was great. In fact, call me crazy but I prefer this to Wicker Man. I haven't ridden the retrack yet but hopefully I can do sooner than later

Do certain parks allow you to hold a camera vs. chest mounted go pro? Riding while holding the camera does seem a little more dangerous that it could be dropped but maybe you were riding before the park was open to everyone else.

Interesting how divisive Tonnere 2 Zeus has turned out to be while everyone seems to love the new Megafobia. Maybe it's the PTC trains? I don't think Timberliners would do Megafobia any favours.

I visited Parc Asterix a few weeks ago and sadly wasted my time with Tonnere 2 Zeus. It used to be absolutely amazing (I have visited twice before the re-track) and now it’s one of the worst coasters I’ve ever experienced

you don’t even mention about saying about permission to hold the camera in oakwood, as it states, gopros are not allowed, you should say about getting special permission
