Aww this place is my childhood when it was Creallys! Every year me and the family would stay at st ives bay and I’d always choose to come here for my childhood day out! Not as good as it was as a lot of my favourite attractions are gone. And not as much value as it was a few years ago but happy you went and filmed it all and seeing the new park of it so thanks!

This was my local 'themepark' as a child along with Flambard's and the nostalgia is very much alive. It's called Camel Creek, I'm guessing, after the river Camel that flows through the nearby town, Wadebridge. Before it was Creally, it used to be known as the Shire Horse Centre and a lot of the original buildings and slides still stand by the looks of it!

My first visit here was in the late 70s with lots of shire horses, I think it was called shire horse centre, had a flip flop shire horse poo incident that my brothers still bring up! when Creally came along the shire horses took a back seat to fun rides. been here with my kids many a time for birthdays and days out, as always thanks for show casing our local parks :)

Back in the day when Camel Creek was Crealy Cornwall, Dina was a mascot for Crealy Devon and had her own pantomime style show in the barn where the animals are now. The Dizzy Dina ride used to be located at Devon's Crealy too :)

Danny Bannon do you know why Dina become the mascot of Cornwall’s Crealy,instead of Devon’s Crealy? I vaguely remember that Devon’s Crealy had a climbing wall themed too Dina.
@dannybanon8560
@dannybanon8560 3 жыл бұрын
@@georgekoshti_richman1392 absolutely correct, they did have a Dina themed climbing wall. I believe the reason is, Crealy Devon fizzled out Dina in the late 2000s to replace her with the Bear mascots. This is when Dina was introduced to Cornwall Crealy a bit more, I can imagine the rights for Dina (if there even were any legal rights) were just given to Cornwall Crealy by default which then just happened to carry on past the Crealy branding and into Camel Creek 😊 hope I could've helped somewhat

@@dannybanon8560 I have photographs of me on the Dina climbing wall from about 8 years ago or longer. Danny do you know if the climbing wall was relocated to Cornwall’s Crealy with the other Dina attractions or scrapped. The building that was formally home to Dina’s Lost World is now known as Atlantis an indoor area with kids rides and a soft play area. To this day Atlantis contains the junior Drop Tower that was once one of Dina’s rides.

Airbender was originally the rumoured Vekoma Suspended Family Coaster as the logo featured a coaster of a similar design. It was also delayed as only the clown coaster opened on the day it was meant to arrive. I guess they didn’t have the money/space/planning permissions for that so instead opted for a cheaper coaster. Fun Fact: The Reptile House I believe used to be this really bizarre Wind in the Willows style walkthrough attraction and featured singing animatronic animals. It came across as quite creepy just because of how dark the interior was and that some of the animatronics were hidden behind glass screens/mirrors. This was back when it was Crealy’s Cornwall.

Before Crealy it was Shires Adventure Park. I have only ever been there about 5 times, 4 times when it was Shires ( twice with my family in 1996 and 97 and twice in 2000 with after achool club during school holidays ). I only went there once when it changed to Cornwall's Crealy with college in June 2007 even though I didn't really enjoy it at the time. It certainly looks like this park has improved since it changed hands, maybe I might go back there in the future. Before 1999 it didn't have very much other than a few outdoor slides and a small soft play area but when I went with my family I got to ride in a horse carriage driven by shire horses.

(16:45) I've seen many of these pirate ships not just from your other vlogs, but from other people's videos and websites. Manufactured by "Metallbau Emmeln" and from my view, there are 9 that are found inside and out of the UK. The following parks where you'll find these Pirate Ships with their name are: (From within the UK) - Ghostly Galleon (Adventure Wonderland, Bournemouth) - Mr. Monkey's Banana Ride (Thorpe Park, Chertsey) - Pirate Ship (Paultons Park, Hampshire) - The Flying Dutchman (Crealy, Exeter) - The Viking Warrior (Camel Creek, Wadebridge) (From outside the UK) - Sinbad (Erse Park, Uetze, Germany) - Schip Ahoi (Duinrell, Wassenaar, Netherlands) - Bananen Flug (Potts Park, Minden, Germany) - The Flying Knight (Magic Park, Verden, Germany)

I'm a bit late to this, but I thought I'd let you know some info as a park local! The suspended coaster was on the original map for the 2019 season, showing a blue inverting suspended coaster. The rumours were that the park had attempted to purchase Tsunami, the M&D's coaster that had been listed for sale some time after it's crash. This would also explain why there were so many delays in the ride opening, and the area of land that that cleared for airbender being far bigger than what was needed. Many maps were then altered some time later to show the new pink family coaster, which was rumoured to have been a last minute purchase in order to avoid any disappointment after many local outlets had in the build up to that season, advertised the prospective new ride 'Cornwall's biggest coaster, and Cornwall's first thrill coaster'. Glad you guys had a lovely visit, and I hope this info to have been somewhat helpful!

Meanwhile my and my friend gone to a France mega coaster trip, we had alot of fun and now back in our home land, I will tell you day 1 and 2 of the parks i've visited: -Day 1: On our first day of a long French trip along Western and Southern theme parks, we stopped at Festyland. This park was supposed to be the first park we stopped on this day. And it promised to be a busy day, because there was a lot else on our schedule. Festyland immediately surprised us when we entered by the many theming and especially the cozy atmosphere that it radiated. Since we are all a bit much credit hunters anyway, we immediately got on our first roller coaster of the day. Drakkar is a fun family roller coaster built by the French builder Soquet. As the name suggests, this is all about the Vikings, just like the Airrace attraction that can be found right next to it. A lot of decoration and images, but above all the necessary humor make this a very pleasant zone. Next we got on the second Soquet rollercoaster of the park, 1066. Initially we also expect a nice family rollercoaster here, but due to the impressive first drop, this is a modest topper, which we like to ride a few more times. In addition to the roller coaster, we found the Kaskade water attraction. At this Rapid River-like attraction you will be lifted up by a lift and you slide down a slide with your boat. On the way the boat spins around quickly, which immediately made this a topper. We would do even more spins in the Zamperla frisbee attraction Erectic. This Frisbee swings back and forth and spins around. Of course we know this principle from Sledgehammer in Bobbejaanland, which is many times larger. But this smaller copy was anything but inferior to that giant, because we were presented with a delightful ride that we would enjoy a second time. The Zamperla Koggemolen was our next stop. Unfortunately, this one disappointed a bit, because the ride was not as fast as we are used to from this type of attraction. The Zamperla Disk'O attraction Le Tournoi was faster. This will take you on a rail for a few minutes and turn around, this type should not be underestimated. Since we had other stops to do on this day, we ended after a few hours with an extra ride on the roller coaster Drakkar, before leaving this more than pleasant park. After a long drive from Festyland we arrived at Clézy Gliss. This Alpine Coaster was built by Branddauer and, unlike the Wiegand ones, only runs on one rail. At 650 meters, this track is not immediately one of the longest, but it contained enough spice to give away a fun ride. -Day 2: After a stay in our hotel, it was time to toboggan again. This time we stopped at the Wiegand Alpine Coaster Normandie Luge. This can be found in a valley, where you can also do other activities such as a zipline, bungee jumping and so on. The track itself is 570 meters long, not really impressive, but tough enough. A good hour and a half before closing, as we traveled a bit across france prayoir to the visit, we arrived at Parc Ange Michel. After buying our tickets we walked straight to our first roller coaster, the Zamperla Spinning Wild Mouse, Tornado. Not very special this coaster is, but good for another extra credit on our counter. We liked the next Spinning Coaster of the park better. This time a smaller model from Gosetto, Tourbillon. This coaster turned out to be a very nice tracked kiddie coaster that drove several laps on its modest course. Another roller coaster to go and immediately the most beautiful in the park wasTacot en Folie, another roller coaster built by the French builder Soquet and its a very nice one, if family-oriented. The train was designed as an old-timer car. which made the coaster look neat. because in a short time we had managed to score our credits, we took a ride Escadrille, the newest addition to the park. This cross between an Enterprise and SkyFly ensures that you can determine your own rolls with the help of wings. This type certainly gets the seal of approval from me, because the ride is very enjoyable. Anyone who thought that an hour and a half would be too little has already realized that when it is calm you can get a lot done at that time. We also boarded at the Flash Tower free-fall tower from Zamperla. This tower is not immediately hundreds of meters high, but thanks to the shot drop principle that Zamperla uses here, you get a lot of airtime. So much fun that I even did it twice. The attraction was also nicely decorated as a fire station, really cool. We still had time to spare. So we got on at the Disk'O attraction La Déferlante. This attraction also gives a tough ride in this park. Since I never done an Apollo Sidecar attraction from Technical Park before, we decided to take a ride on Sidecar Volant as well. This attraction lets you drive a motor yourself, which goes up when you accelerate. As if that wasn't interactive enough, you also have a horn and fuel gauge, which shows that the fuel is running out. Finally, we took a seat in the park's 7D cinema. This showed a funny film where you end up in a mouse race with cars. Unfortunately, the chairs move a bit too randomly and especially very violently, so that you are literally swung in all directions. and that was my visit, it was really nice and I reccomand you, shawn to do the same.

When I last went I remember there being a massive slide where you could sit on a mat and it was like a massive bumpy slide and you went really fast. They polished it a few times a day aswell. Must have either been removed or just closed.

Why are they trimming these Wild Cat style rides so hard these days - totally ruins the last part of the ride?

Vertigo is a bit of an odd name for what's meant to be a fun ride 🤣 (vertigo means a headache that makes you feel like things are spinning around you)

Morgawr is a local legend of a sea serpent that is meant to live off the coast of Cornwall. I remember when an animatronic of it was the highlight of the experience at Land's End. Before you get too excited, the legend only dates from 1975 and is generally thought to have been a deliberate hoax.

what a great park looks like a great independent one, if charlotte wants goats, you should go to Hatton country world loads of goats there and you can actually feed them.

@@ThemeParkWorldwide yes there were rumours that the air bender coaster was a temporary installation and that they were going to get a family suspended coaster like Flight of the Pterosaur at Paultons Park so that might be interesting.

According to the companies house website, John Broome stopped being a director of Camel Creek in 2018, which is probably why you didn't see him (unless he was hiding in the mascot costume)
