The first two albums of Iron Maiden and Def Leppard are the best in both band’s careers. Paul Di’anno and Pete Willis are very influential but sadly underrated.

Anyone wanting to end the "Paul vs. Bruce" debate in one song should use their favorite streaming app to play "The Land God Gave to Caine" by Paul Dianno's Battlezone. Listen to all 7 minutes, because it is an absolute masterpiece. Every feature of Paul's vocals are highlighted. Fans of the cleans in "Remember Tomorrow"? Yep, they are there, with better production. If this was a Maiden song, it would top their setlist for a decade. I would say this track ends the Paul vs. Bruce debate, but that presumes it ever was one. Paul is a superior vocalist by orders of magnitude.

In my opinion, the Maiden Japan EP shows what a great vocalist Paul is. It's a shame that his addiction to drugs and drinking ended him.
