My thought about the horse issue is that she doesn't have to own a horse to still be a horse person. Perhaps she can volunteer at a stable. Maybe she could start a business of caring for horses when an owner is gone. Maybe she could simply chose to find a place where she can rent a horse to ride once a week. There are so many ways for her to keep horses in her life without the ownership of a horse.

I have had horses 50 years...same situation. Have had them professionally, and as a personal pleasure. Am currently enjoying the remaining 2 that I own, and will not be replacing them. That time in my life is over, as there are things I now want to explore and do in my life, such as travel and potentially move. This has been on my mind, so hanging onto the equipment I Need for now, but when the time comes, I am ready to part with it. This was a super specific conversation, that remarkably was a conversation I have had many times in my head. Thank you!!

I heard someone say “Yes” when TK was finished. Man. I say it every video- he is the best addition. I almost feel too “fangirl” - but I’m really not. Lol I think, maybe, I lack the intellectual conversations I yearn for IRL- so, when he speaks- my craving for intelligence is satisfied. Lol. Either way- his input is invaluable!!!!

Perfect addition TK! “Forever”…. Huge insight, hit it on the head THANK YOU!!! Thanks to all of you and your team. My transformation is approaching year three and I’m really getting into the heart of sentimental items now. I had a real day yesterday listings about 6 new things on eBay and I thought about the concept of identity, forever etc but the relief of release trumps it all.

10:20 I think you guys missed Ginny's question. She loves her Animals, I'm assuming she still owns her pets with the bowls, leashes, toys and shampoos. She has sold her horse. So letting go of the horse accessories, means letting go of the possibility of a relationship with another horse. Pets often fill our hearts with unconditional love! Who doesn't want unconditional love? She's alone.

yeah I thought I heard the same thing too. But I think they're going deeper into letting go - such as identity / passions which interlinks in a way to attachment styles. Well this is why I never get pets - the hole would be hard to filled. Too painful - as it is I can't even handle humans leaving my life, what more animals.

So you're saying if your spouse does, you don't get rid of his stuff? You'd rather hold on to a fantasy? It's unhealthy. You keep one or two items and move on.

I've been plant based for 4 years. Quick tip If you arent eating a lot of beans on a plant based diet how are you still alive? lol Proteins gotta come from somewhere, healthy iron gotta come from somewhere. People fall back into the meat stuff because they think every PB meal looks like some kind of instagram salad. Add beans.

Treat people nice not because they are nice to you but because you are nice - amen to that! 27:39 Although its so much harder to do than to say. Especially when you are feeling down (tired, sad, angry, hurt and etc)

The concept of letting go of items for our "fantasy self" has really helped me. Our fantasy self might be aspirational, but at my season of life it is more often my past self. In my case cookbooks figure, or maybe that dress I finally gave away.

Love the lady’s (couldn’t catch her name) comment on loaning the horse equipment to someone who could use it now. I often share things like tools or equipment with friends. Just keep track of who has what so that you can know where to find it if needed again. Learned the hard way with that part. Best of luck!

" People often give up what they want to get what they think they want" Really? I've given up on false relationships / toxic friends / careers that are not right for me and yet I am still struggling to get what I want - the desires that I truly want - I think it requires A LOT of courage to even let go of what you truly love to get what you desire - I appreciate the advocacy on impermanence - and yes I am all for it but sometimes we've to lose ourselves to become a whole again.

I actually think the horse and other pet items are the most sentimental to her, it’s her identity and symbolizes many deep relationships with her animals. It’s totally different than frisbee golf or another hobby.

Maybe there's a local 4H group or horse camp or therapy horse group around that she could volunteer or donate knowing those items will be appreciated by the people to whom she donated. Hope that helps.

Alabama, gal' to my ❤! Josh' speaks of dust versus LIFE. The beneficiaries would be so grateful to use all of it. Anyhow, dear woman, if you already popped the question...it means you're deep down in the process of letting go already. You know better than your horsehoard...it wants to galop, march the countryside and run in the fields. Let it be creating Joy again...not sitting in your way and being dead and meaningless.

Getting rid of her horse equipment doesn't mean she can't ever ride again. She can go to a horse farm and ride. There are many places that will allow her to ride for a fee.

I'm so glad Kristen found value from the episode with Paul Saladino. I've found carnivore to be very healing and I've only been doing it since March (and that includes messing up here and there, that sugar is so addictive!!!). My ferritin is also low like hers, but this is because of the destruction of my gut from modern medicine (PPIs/antibiotics) and so I'm trying to recover (carnivore is a great tool for gut healing). So many vegans feel good when they first start and it's because they are cutting out the bad carbs and sugar - give it some years and most of them eventually feel terrible because it's missing essential B12 and the (more) bioavailable iron that meat has. Nutritional deficiencies can also cause anxiety and depression... people have to truly understand that what we put in our bodies makes a huge impact on our lives.

That's odd. I have been a vegan for years and my health has only improved. I am 68 and everyone around me is sick, losing their health, having strokes, getting bad colds and flu, getting demented, etc. Even my teeth are great. People used to say, "oh, your teeth will rot and fall out!" My dentist told me that is crap, and my teeth are great.

I've seen soooooooooo many vegans say this! So many deficient in B12 and iron (they are in the anemia groups). I've been doing carnivore (with some success, that sugar is hard to drop) and between the meat and electrolytes I feel better than I can ever remember. I wasn't ever vegan, but plants cause me a lot of gastrointestinal problems that carnivore solves.

@@therealjenniferrr I was a chronic pain patient, sent to pain management doctors, because of an old injury. I could do nothing, I was in so much pain. These doctors put me on tons of drugs, and did test after horrible test on me. They made me worse. I finally had enough, and did some research. I read that animal products cause inflammation and pain. So, in desperation, I gave up animal products. Within about 6 weeks, my pain was greatly reduced and my health improved. I have my life back. I take B12 pills and I am very healthy. A few years ago, when I went to my doctor, he said he could not even do bloodwork on me cause my insurance would not pay for it, because there were no indications that I needed it. That has never happened before. If I eat animal products, my pain comes back. So I stick with what I am doing. Beans will give you gas unless you soak them correctly, and your body has to get used to them. But I can never go back to meat. And if you educate yourself on how animals are treated in the slaughter process, it will make you ill. So, altho it is controversial, veganism is for me. I get sick far less often than I used to. Also, did you know that drinking cow's milk actually contributes to osteoporosis? I know we are taught to drink our milk, but google it and you will find out that it is not good for us. Do you know of any other mammal that drinks the milk of another species of animal? We are the only ones. Seems weird to me.

@avrub Жыл бұрын
Photos (digital). Hardest thing to let go of. I rarely view them. In a matter of fact I almost never view them on purpose, only by accident when I am searching for something that I actually need (like part number or a restaurant name). I had about 12 000 of them on my phone, then deleted everything before my son's birth in September 2020. But the rest of them can't delete. It feels like if I delete them I will loose those precious moment with my son, because he is growing every second and will never be the same.
