Thanks. It was only done on the fireman side because that's where the platform is at Euston and thus the side the passengers see when boarding the train.

Good shots Thomas. It would be a bit awkward if it got diverted in to a platform on the drivers side of the cab considering 44871 has only got "Polar Express" on the firemans side. 😅

Thanks Callum. Platform 16 at Euston has been decorated with all the stuff for the Polars, with nothing else going into it all day, so it's soley reserved for the Polar trips.

The engine in the film "Polar Express" was a Lima "Super Power" Berkshire 2-8-4, difficult to fit the British structure gauge, so I suppose this is a reasonable compromise ! Seriously, some interesting locations there, good work. 👍

Nice video and is a bit weird to see 44871 with the Polar Express stuff on the side! Is it ok if you can tell me what SD card you use as mines only capable of 25fps video and I would like 60fps video for better shots?! Many thanks & Regards.

Thanks, strange but good for the publicity. I don't think the SD card limits frame rate, its more to do with the camera settings. I don't have a special one for this, just a normal one with high memory.

Wow, not keen on the mods apart from the headlight, thats cool. Really really nice shots, gorgeous sound and that last one is so atmospheric! Wish I could come down south to get 44871 and the LSL one as well on the 20th

What’s the point in traveling in air conditioned stock, you’re cocooned away from everything, I never really was a fan of air conditioned rolling stock, blank looking windows, shut away from the whole experience!!!
