الله يحفظلك المسلمين The motivation is once you become Muslim your previous sins are dropped …zero…nada. So you would want to motivate your self to keep that record clean and positive , so wearing the hijab to be obedient to allah that will be a smaller easier hardship once you put it in perspective. So be it.

Salam aleykum , so nice to listen to you all. I enjoy it so much and want to listen to you converts forever. As I listen to you , I love to share something that is sad to say but unfortunately many Moslem don’t know Islam and don’t know they are a lot behind and there is so much for them to learn before they can give you any opinion. Imam Ali says don’t Jude Islam by Moslem and accept Islam as Islam instruct you to ,

We sure have different ways to Islam. She seems to be the type that has it "in her heart" forgetting that Islam is very much a lawbased deen. Me, I need the hijab, it shows what I am.

The same things happens to male converts as well. I had similar experiences when I converted in 2014, I didn't last but only a few months and I left Islam, I didn't even learn how to properly pray. :( Every Ramadan, I feel a tugging at my soul to come back.

As a revert myself who didn't announce my reversion and hid my islam, I can say that I understand those muslims, and I wish I had people like that to push me. Many new reverts just end up being lukewarm liberalized muslims, who don't pray and sometimes fasts. I think we need more institutions like iERA and Sapience to fix this. Or else, Islam will be like what Christianity is right now, all bark but not teeth.

No. Everything is secondary to the Five Pillars. Not the Shahadah. The Shahadah is combined with the other four pillars. A Muslim who doesn't establish the other four is no muslim to begin with.

Most criticism are due to tragic unmet needs that’s why so many Muslims unfortunately try enforce theirs standards and shove it on someone else they seem to forget the crucial principle message of islam no obligatory force should be used in the religion. We command others and elevate ourselves to give advice when the truth of the matter is that we need fix ourselves inwardly. Many of us in the world sadly drive ppl way from the religion because of our toxic behavior. We are all guilty of it including me but it begins by awareness to improve our ground of virtues.

@@yassir2824 yeah man agreed. I was referring other form of extremism with my message. I remember some friends who did not welcome this idea of enforcing Salah and sort of in nagging way questioning why they don’t pray but when the behavior flipped to hey let’s pray together the formula changed. It starts with Allah Guidance before thinking that it’s what you want which will happen that’s why this principle will overrule any method you choose to implement and pass an advice. That’s why Allah said in his quran And by the Mercy of Allah, you dealt with them gently. And had you been severe and harsh-hearted, they would have broken away from about you; so pass over (their faults), and ask (Allah's) Forgiveness for them; and consult them in the affairs. Then when you have taken a decision, put your trust in Allah, certainly, Allah loves those who put their trust (in Him).

He tried to host priests who converted to Islam, the most famous atheists who converted to Islam, and Westerners who studied in Islamic universities in Saudi Arabia to be a bridge of cultural and social communication to address the Western world to know our truth away from the lies of Western ideologue channels. For example: Why do human and women’s rights standards in the Western world not fit with our ethics and standards of right and wrong? Why do we reject democracy, modernity, secularism, and liberalism? Why do we reject the penal and legislative laws in the Western world, etc. Among the suggested names: Dr.Tahir Wyatt, Abdullah Smith ، Saajid Lipham, Joe Bradford ,Nicholas Pelletier,TheMuslimCowboy,Yusuf Estes ,Dr.Jerald Dirks، Samuel Sharcher, Imam Tom Facchine, Dr. Abdullah As-Sueidi , Sheikh Othman bin Al-Farouq, Ustaadh Muhammad Tim Humble, Abdur Raheem McCarthy, Khalid Green, Sheikh Bilal Philips.

Guys just because you're a new convert/revert, doesn't mean you shouldn't implement the laws of Islam in your life. Unless you have a valid excuse, you can't do that. Candace's situation is understandable, but she shouldn't have come on this podcast until she wore hijab. Hell, some scholars say women shouldn't be recorded with video at all and should only be audio.

NO “ladies’HIJAB” found in the Quran. The word HIJAB is used in the Quran but not for ladies. Check these Ayath/verses that they say have Hijab in them. (But not found) In Quran 33.59 - “ … JILBAB over themselves…” in Quran 24.31 - “… Khimar over the Jayb..” The word is KHIMAR in the Quran.24.31 - Root Meaning of KHIMAR is just a COVERING, it can also be a neck scarf, any scarf, dupatta, chadar, etc. There is no head, hair, veil, niqab or any such importance in the Quran, transliteration of Quran 24.31: “yadribna bi’Khumur’ihinna ala juyoob’ihinna” [Plurals : khumur, juyoob] Quran 24.31 (see the part of the verse they say has hijab ) // *..put forth the Khimars OVER THE JAYBs…*// KHIMAR = COVERING and JAYB just means OPENING - like an opening in a dress, deep-neck, like shirt pocket - is a jayb To verify from the Quran check this example in //Quran 28.32 (part) “…. yadaka fee jayb’ika …”. // “… put your hand in your Jayb..” (clearly a pocket or opening in the dress) (or) some people translate it as chest/ bosoms coz that’s where the Jayb is. Look at where the importance is in the verse: “COVERING over the Jayb” - but the EXPLANATIONS of ‘Sect’ /Firqa leaders promoted the concept of ladies’HIJAB - by adding it in books written much later after the Quran AND by adding words with brackets in translations and explanations - gradually shifting the importance of COVERING the Jayb - giving importance away from the Jayb seems like distraction from the main emphasis. - AND also these Firqa leaders wrote the Dictionary centuries later to push their meanings - please ask them : when and who wrote the Dictionary that they show their meanings from? We should not accept new meanings to the words after the word is used in the Quran - in the present era the meanings can be understood by checking the same word usage within the Quran - see where the word is used again. QURAN is it’s own DICTIONARY within it - (by using the important words in other verses and locking the meanings). They should know when the same root word is used for intoxicants even then it’s used for “COVER” - - any intoxicant or alcohol COVERS the ability INSIDE THE MIND - - Please NOTE : khumur /intoxicants/ALCOHOL does NOT cover the HAIR or outer-head. How can a religion claiming to be for the whole world - promote desert clothing for far off freezing lands? They’re Spreading culture and calling it religion - They took the desert clothing that is needed in sand storms and called it religion OTHER religious groups were ALREADY wearing it in the desert. IF anyone wants TO FOLLOW WORDS OF ALLAH then they should verify with the Quran - coz every secondary source should match with the Quran AND they should not add words in translations. JILBAB: Means any decent OUTER CLOTHING worn above the under-garments - it’s plural is JALABIB The verse in the Quran 33.59 is about JILBAB - it’s about wearing outer clothing - where it also says that “they can be RECOGNISED and NOT HARASSED” So the condition is to be recognised : how will anyone RECOGNISE if you cover fully? - So avoid tight clothing - it’s really simple as per Quran. Wearing clothes that the security personnel and other people are scared of coz they cannot recognise the person inside - as a result you face difficulty and then that results in feeling harassed. Check the verse Q.33.59 below and remember that some translations or interpretations have added words in brackets - so look at Arabic /or word-to-word translation to VERIFY, yes VERIFY. “… alay’ihinna min jalabib’ihinna… “ -- //Quran 33.59 O Prophet! Ask your wives, daughters, and believing women to draw their JILBAB over themselves . In this way it is more likely that they will be RECOGNISED and not be HARASSED. And Allah is All-Forgiving, Most Merciful// -- Notice it’s only talking about properly covering themselves - there is NO emphasis on head, hair, face covering in this verse also. - Some of them will not VERIFY what is in the Quran - word by word. And you may get to see how they will jump to start calling IGNORANT and names to the person showing them the research.

Please verify those Ayah’t (verses) in the Quran I’m just trying to point out what’s in the Quran And if any explanations do not match the original teachings of the Quran or if it tries to alter the meaning then those teachings are ‘daef’ (not authentic ) - Quran is the Furqan (the Criteria) which guides Refer: //Quran 6.112 And thus We have made for every prophet an enemy - devils from mankind and jinn, inspiring to one another decorative speech in delusion. But if your Lord had willed, they would not have done it, so leave them and that which they invent.//
