Fun Fact: Kelly Macdonald who plays Pokkit is actually Disney royalty, she’s the voice of Merida in Brave.

This episode was a good mix of whimsical fun and drama. And I hope we get to see Kelly McDonald's bounty hunter again in some way. She had some good chemistry with Jude. Oh, and yes, that is Steve Urkel (Malcolm Jaleel White) as the bald pirate with an eye augment.

Jod did the most painful betrayal I’ve seen in Star Wars since Anakin during Order 66. I genuinely thought he was going to help the kids out because it was in all of their interests, but just like with Gollum and the One Ring, as soon as he heard that there was truly a limitless treasure on At Attin he almost immediately stabbed them all in the back because he wanted that treasure for himself.

He couldn't trust Fern. At every opportunity she reminded him that he was just that much away from being jettisoned by them. I'd expect she'd have SM-33 imprison him as soon as they confirmed they were on At Attin

Yeah, we have a couple of new mysteries in the show. We don’t see Rennod’s face and we still don’t know what the headless statue looks like and I suspect it’s bc it will be someone we recognize.

I think Jod did it now because he got pressed as well, because the pirates are coming after him, he can not rely on children jumping on beds as "captain" anymore.

While Dak Rennod being the Supervisor is a going theory, I disagree. The most infamous pirate captain of all time retires to run a planet of economic anaylsts? Doesn't seem to line up.

When the crew were on At Akron-Ohio, KB looked at the headless statue strangely as if she recognized it or something. What if the actual supervisor is one of the parents?

For the droids, all the way back in Empire, Leia was able to reach over and power off C3-PO. So it is certainly not new. But for the Jedi not doing that in the clone wars, it's possible that battle droids just didn't have that feature as part of their design to prevent an enemy army from doing just that.

I like to think Jod was a Jedi padawan who had to run & hide during Order 66 & did whatever he could to survive, including being a pirate. The shirt Jod wears reminds me of Lando Calrissian's shirt. I think Jod just challenged Fern for Captain because he knows what's coming & needs SM-33's obedience to do what's needed, but it's not what we think. I think he's playing the villain role for their own good. I think the show is trying too hard to have us think he's the villain, but in the end, he will fully embrace his Jedi history to save the kids.

I believe you are right on target. Listen to what he says before & after grabbing Fern. It has to appear to be an authentic challenge or SM-33 won't change his allegiance. I suspect Jod was going to look for a way to get all of them out of there but Wim short-circuited that intent by triggering the trap door.

1:46 And that's how Ani stopped the attack on Naboo, remember? He destroyed the Droid control ship, which turned every battle droid off, ending the battle. The trade federation fixed that issue their tactical droids--droids no longer needed to be connected to a ship which was easily targetible from afar; and the tactical droid commanders were hard to pin point on the battlefield. The Battle Droids attacked in huge numbers, so turning off one at a time wasn't something one could do, which is why they Jedi and Clone Troopers had to engage them. 9:00 You really don't want to believe that Jod, a Force-sensative human, was a Jedi. Why not? This story takes place 5 years after ROTJ, and ROTJ takes place 23 years after Order 66. We can assume that Jod is around the same age as Jule Law, right? Well, Jude is 51 years old. Jod is old enough to have grown up on Coruscant at the Jedi Temple, which is where someone like him would have been raised--Star Wars has told in several different series that the Jedi collected Force-sensative toddlers. Jod would have been 23 years old during Order 66, which is about the age Obi-Wan was in TPM. I guess he could have still been a padawan, but I sort of doubt it given what the Clone Wars showed us with Ahsoka, Barriss, and Kanan--they were all graduated to generals since the Republic Forces needed commanders on the battlefield. He could have also been graduated up to Jedi Knight like Anakin, who would have been around the same age as Jod. I don't think Jod's past is going to be filled with shocking plot twists, given the genre--I think his past, like many of the things in the series is pretty on the nose. We heard the Force theme when Jod used the Force to get the key. We've heard Jod drop Jedisms since his introduction up to now--that's not a coincidence. Jod keeps saving the children from danger instead of cutting and running--he keeps doing the RIGHT things. For the first time in this series, we now hear the Force when Jod uses it--that's not something exclusive to the Jedi, but I think it is the series telling/showing us that Jod's connection has been getting gradually stronger the more he's with the children. Jod, like Obi-Wan, Ahsoka, Kanan and Kal kestis, had to forget his past and become something else in order to service the Jedi purge. We've been shown the extremes he's taken, and continues to take, to shield his true identity with his numerous allies and jobs. Jod has lied to every adult character we've come across, but the one group of people he has not lied to are the children who saved him. "I'm just like you! I'm lost. I'm alone." --Jod Na Nawood For nearly three decades, Jod had been struggling to find his place and survive in what he explained to Wim was a "rotten galaxy." Jod was part of an order that kept the galaxy peaceful and fair for milinia, and in a matter of years, Palpatine managed to turn the entire galaxy against the Jedi. Jod gave up on it, lost hope. He ran, and he hid from his past. The children of At Attin, particularly Wim, I think, makes him want to be more than he is, what he used to be. Jod likes what he has become, but the children pull him back to the life he once lived. What will he do? The right thing? Most likely, he's been doing that so far =) 9:23 Seems like you are coming around, after all =) 23:40 I don't think this is as bad as it seems? Why would Jod do this? I can name several: 1) They are in serious trouble and the children are acting like children. 2) Fern continues to second guess Jod's motives. 3) SM-33, the only other grown up in the room, won't do anything without Fern's say so. Challenging Fern for leadership, and winning that challenge solves all of their problems. SM-33 will do what Jod tells him to do when first told, and the children would have to listen to Jod without SM-33 backing them up--they have no ship or bodyguard. 24:40 Did you notice this sigh of relief? Jod doesn't want to hurt the children. Their current arrangement isn't working, a change is needed. 24:57 Think about this order for a second. What did he actually order SM-33 to do? What's the end result of this order? To take the children back to the ship and detain them there. The ship is the safest place for the children to be right now. His demeanor seems to play into Wim's dreams of adventure, which is something Jod mentions just as they enter Tak Rennod's lair.

@02:12 Have they seen ANY Star Wars media? Acting like droids haven't been powered down in every TV show & movie. Heck, C-3PO powers himself down, gets powered down and gets powered up multiple times. And does he really think Battle Droids would have external switches like everyday droids. (Cue him saying "I knew that. I was joking.) The best part is we saw that Jod knew where SM-33's switch was because he flipped it to ID him to rescue him.
