I am all for Michael taking the mantle from the great and never forgotten Anthony Bourdain. What made his shows and storytelling so great is the same as what Michael has, a great storyteller has to be great with words and a big part of what makes Michael's videos stand out is how he frames a tech review around great storytelling about the places he is visiting and the things he experienced using that tech.

Calling this triple folding style a "Z" would make a lot more sense than Samsung's. They should call those the "V"

But this is a DUAL folding design with one single screen. It has two hinges and not three like a tri-fold would have. The Samsung Z Fold is a single fold design with two displays.

Ok, this video is not a tech dive on specs nor a review about technology. This video is about the feeling proportioned by a specific product that is, by far, the most important thing that almost every manufacturer seemed to forgot over the last decades... Thank you mrmobile, for your different approach to the subject. Thank you for making me remember what was like in the 00's, to be excited not about ram and storage, but experience and innovation!

Hoping that this doesn't sound too pretentious, but this wasn't just a phone review; this was ART. We only got like two specs about the phone because the philosophy of it was so captivating. Thank you, Mr. Mobile; you yourself are capturing the essence of what you preached in this review: elegant and furious improvisation in the face of hardship

I've been rocking the four pocket laptop ever since you made that video, first with the z fold 3 itself, now with the pixel fold. Ever since then I've never brought my laptop with me on trips, and I really don't miss it. I've optimized it to two pockets by having a kickstand on the phone, and by getting a Bluetooth keyboard with an integrated trackpad. I still keep the Bluetooth mouse in my backpack in case I want it, but being able to get away with two pockets (One which carries a phone anyway) has been a game changer. Thank you for helping me stay mobile!

The Mate XT is a really impressive phone. I had the chance to try it out at a Huawei store in China a few days ago, and the triple screen design is really one of its kind. And it's incredibly thin. Though, compared to the Z Fold series, the hinges and creases feel a bit less polished still. But I'm sure later revisions of this design will only get better, and I'm excited for the future of these. Having a 10 inch tablet in your pocket is really cool, even better than the current 7 inch foldables.

what i find about huawei foldables is that even if they arent the best, they're the ones that continue to feel the most modern even after depreciated. i picked up a mate Xs2 the other day, and honestly, it feels more modern than the pixel 9 pro fold, its not perfect, sure, and its infinitely more fragile, but ti *feels* more futuristic. the Huawei Mate X2 with its wedge shape? same thing, and im sure its the same with this. i said from the time i stopped reviewing phones and I'll continue saying it, the mobile space stagnated and came to a crawl when huawei was banned from the west, and shit like this only cement that fact to me

Honestly even in the face of a tri-fold like this, I've felt more of an itch for a different kind of quirky form factor different from today's common slabs. Specifically, I've been loving the idea of an old-style flip phone, complete with a physical keypad for T9 typing...while still having a touch screen and running Android. And I think I've left comments like that on, uh, a few of your recent videos. So I guess what I'll say is the reason I bring it up again (aside from maybe trying to inception it into people's minds so there's enough demand for it to become more of a thing) is that I've realized lately that, even though it wouldn't quite scratch the itch the same way, the nearest thing that's actually readily available today to what I'm looking for might just be the Moto Razr. Keeping it folded and just using the outer screen for as much as I can and just opening it if I really need the extra real estate or for an app that doesn't play well with the smaller screen. So we'll see, maybe I'll surprise myself and my next phone will be a foldable yet.

very interesting phone, it may be my next purchase after my Razr 40 Ultra gives out (hopefully it will be in a long time, and hopefully earlier than that we'll see these tri-folds in europe). Altho something i like a lot from the Razr is the "tripod mode" that i can more or less use without worry , because the bottom is quite grippy. i'd be more worried of using it in this phone both bc of scratching concerns, and also slipping concerns. I do much prefer the landscape orientation for recording so that'd be a big plus
