I never thought of it before, but Marilyn could have had a slumber party with her college friends and could have had a fun scary night! Or, a Halloween party in the house with all the family and friends. Would make for a great ep!! I am glad Hollywood never tried to remake this show...no one could replace the original Munsters!!

There's only one problem with that. Marilyn never thought her family or their house was scary in any way. She thought they were perfectly normal. And the running joke was that SHE was the "ugly duckling" of the family and it made her very self conscious despite the fact that she was beautiful.

The Munsters, Fred Gwynne made the best Frankenstein ever. He was 6'6" as it is but with the make-up, and the head and those boots made him 7'3" as Herman Munster.

I LOVE the little joke they played with Spot's food can. The name of the company is "Paley's Pet Products." The Munsters was on CBS. William Paley was the founder and chairman of the board of CBS at the time!

If someone DID do you think the big oil companies which are worth multi billions would actually let it go into production? They would buy it and NOT put it into production. There is big money in oil. Which is why they lobbied for so many years against renewable energy and electric cars.

Well, there was ONE episode where Herman stands between lightening in the dungeon during one of Grandpa's experiments and as a result looks normal. Its the only episode where we see Fred Gwynne without makeup and padding. Grandpa finds Herman's original blueprints and gets his looks back by hooking him up to lightening.

They skipped the Best part. The family discovers the man from t oil company is named "Prince" so he kisses Marylin and she wakes up and they date Grandpa burned the formula for the gas pill by accident and the oil company wants to pay $10,000 for him to keep the pill off the market but since grandpa burned the formula, they couldn't take the money but Marylin gets a date from the deal!

The Munsters always teaches a lesson. Grandpa could have taken the money without telling them he accidentally burned the formula and the oil company wouldn't be any the wiser. But they were HONEST. Today, most people wouldn't think twice about taking the money!

I just feel get a kick out of Herman laugh it's hilarious you never get tired of it it's just something about the charm of the series am I just been two seasons which I don't understand it should at least had three seasons like Gilligan's Island they have a good amount of reruns I don't know understand why they couldn't go on for a third season or have another Network pick them up

Well, one of the reasons they didn't do another season was that it was too taxing on Fred Gwynne's health. All the padding and makeup for his character not only weighed a ton, but it made him sweat profusely. He could only do short takes under the hot lights before he would have to rest. His suit literally had holes in it where they would hook up a hose and pump cool air into it so he could cool down. He lost a LOT of weight from the sweating and exertion. Which, according to an interview I saw with Grandpa when he was still alive, disappointed him because he LOVED playing Herman.
