The one thing I learned as a parent....Our Father in Heaven continually shows us unconditional love and forgiveness. If he can do that for me, then I owe it to my child the same compassion and grace.

Gosh too true about always learning. I had a frustrating day last week and it was honestly the best thing to hear my child say “I know you’re frustrated, but it’s going to be okay and I love you!” She hugged me and then asked me to swing with her. Despite everything, I’ve tried to encourage that sort of uplifting spirit for her and it was nice to see the fruits of that and also to be on the receiving end of it. It’s so hard wanting to be this perfect parent sometimes, but that’s just not feasible. ❤

Lots of wisdom at the end, Jon! Also, Yes I do struggle with staying motivated when it comes to not only exercising but eating right. I always seem to self sabotage myself and I have been praying for God to help me with that. Enjoyed watching the kids at the farm. How fun!

Try reading atomic habits or get the audio book. It really emphasizes how to figure out your motivation to keep up with a habit. What it doesn’t touch on is that habits can be like seasons and need to change or be tweaked depending on where you are in life. So that’s something to consider too.

I love that! Grace is significantly important! Often times we find it easier to give to others and forget to give it to our self’s, when in reality we are also learning and processing day to day life. I really feel like you and Danielle are doing a great job with your children, they are gonna have the best memories and they are gonna be strong men and woman of God and if that’s not the goal I don’t know what is.. 🤍🕊 prayers and love to your fam!

For habits I recomend you to look for Mel Robbins's "The 5 second Rule" and "The Hi 5 Habit", also Gretchen Ruben's "The Four Tendencies" and "Better than before", and James Clear's "Atomic Habits".

One thing I learned the past few years. Parents their jobs are never done. My mom is a great example. I am recently divorced after 30 years of marriage. Anger can be hard. It led to my marriage ending. When one person has personal issues with things. The spouse is usually the last to know. I think my point is my mom stepped up to the plate when I wanted to leave snd start a new life. It was a struggle but with my mom by my side i made it through the minefield. Skinned knees and some tears but I made it through. I have two grown kids myself. They test my faith everyday wondering how to navigate. I just tell them what ever it is we will get through it together. Thank you for the reminder of what we learn as parents. Its all good. Just need a little guidence and a hand to hold, once in a while. Love you Murrays.

Yes, each child is different! My children are adults, but I am still their Mom! It is different now! They still need my love and prayers! I now have grandchildren to love and encourage their parents as they parent their kids! I loved being a Mom (their daddy died at 38 from cancer)! I love being a Grandma!
