This is one of my all time favorite model kits. I built it on its first release in 1995. I painted mine gold then as well.

The detail on this one blew me away back then! This and the Revell 69 Camaro's!

One of the first models I built when I got back into modeling. I painted mine maroon like yours! Raoul you are maybe the only modeler I know of that consistently adds a convertible version to the squad and you've got me into the idea to build more convertible versions of my collection. I remember seeing these cars back in the day but because of my youth, I took them for granted, never appreciating them like I do today. Great build my friend!

So the gold is the color that my 67 GTX was. Mine was a 440 with the automatic but mine had a column shifter and a bench seat which was very very rare! Probably the most powerful car I've ever owned. I believe this kit came out in the late 1980s actually I remember building it for the first time when I still had my GTX

@@TheMuscleCarModeler It looks like a well engineered kit from just looking at it after it has been built. I will probably get one this fall. Right now, I want to build some other things and have plenty of kits to build. I’ve got a bunch of Camaros and Corvettes I want to build first.
@TheMuscleCarModeler2 жыл бұрын
I know what you mean! I just picked up a Monogram 89 Corvette ZR1. That brings my C4 stash up to 4. I built the Callaway Speedster long ago and sold it. I have a replacement of that one. I really want to build one of the C4's since I don't currently have one built in my collection.

@@TheMuscleCarModeler I recently bought ‘95 ZR1, and a ‘04 Z06, and I’m looking forward to building those.

Mine has been sitting unfinished for 20 years cause can’t figure out the color. What paint did you used again?

I have that problem also. On this one I used Testor's Model Master Burgundy Red Metallic in a .5 oz jar. I air brushed it on. It has since been discontinued along with the whole model master line.

Will give your color recommandation a try, should be easy to find at the local hobby shop. Tks for answering, very appreciated. The under body, interior, engine, even the Dana dif. was finished around year 2004, imagine….

600 bucks for the Hemi, in 1967! Like $2000 in today's money. Crazy.

Actually, I have used an inflation calculator that I found online. $600 in 1967 is worth $5164 today.
