The Kaaba is mentioned in the Qur’an that it is the house of God and it is like a mosque. We are in front of the Kaaba and say, “God is great, God is great.” The Kaaba is a house, and God commanded us to pray toward it so that our word is one and our Qiblah is one, uniting all races and genders.

There is a video here on KZbin whereby Avi Lipkin a Jewish man explains about Jewish praying tradition and history of how Moses led his follower from Pharoah slavery from Egypt across the red sea towards Arabia land. Hag in Hebrew means a holiday or going around in circle. Jethro (Moses Father In-Law) the high priest of Midian is believed to be High Priest of Kaa'ba in Mecca, The High Priest of the Black Stone. From this video, we also know that the black stone was there since the time of Abraham and was taken care by their family generations to generations because Jethro was the descendant of Abraham's first son Ishmael.

Pretty cool to see how monotheïsm all the way from Abraham and Ishmael continued. Also cool how pre-Islamic Arabs were proud of their lineage to Ishmael. In the past I've read about the way biblical accounts confirm that Ishmael is indeed the father of the Arabs. What you say is interesting. I know Islamic sources who refer to Jethro as the one who was called to the nation of Midian and eventually went to Mecca and died there but I cannot think of any biblical sources which gave him these titles which confirm he went to Mecca and the Kaaba. In Judaism there are conflicting accounts on him with some saying he was a monotheïsts and other claiming he was an idol worshipper but he repented.

The art part resonates with me because I’m also an artist who loves to draw humans and animals but I only learnt last December that it’s prohibited to draw anything with souls . It was hard to digest at first because I’ve been doing it my whole life and as my job but Alhamdulillah Allah made it easy for me to leave it behind. I did read some leeway like draw face but no eyes etc or just draw silhouette but I decided to just leave it all together, I can’t cast away my doubts and it’s eating me from the inside. Subhanallah! This reminds me of a conversation between a sahabi and a potential revert asked him what about one reverts now and ones who revert but never saw Mohammed pbuh? The sahabi answered, you’re better than us! Because we saw the prophet and you heard the message and accepted. This person immediately reverted and the same day fought as a Muslim and found martyrdom and became Shaheed. Subhanallah he left the world in the best manner as his sins were forgiven and became Shaheed!
