The mistake is that you associate 2 completely unrelated matters with each other and then come to what is an inaccurate conclusion. In this instance knowing and speaking Arabic fluently has nothing to do with reading the Quran with an open heart. In addition to this incorrect association and conclusion you also passed an unsubstantiated judgement on the man by saying "...he refused to read the Quran with an open heart...". How do you know his heart is open or close? What i will say is that he hasn't done a thorough investigation of the verses in question on surah 86 and what is equally disappointing is the response he received. The wording of verses 6 and 7 should have been more thoroughly investigated and analyzed to derive an accurate understanding of the Quran. Our education in our Deen has been badly twisted due to political reasons in our home countries and this is the net result. I am a medical doctor. Seminal vescicles, prostate is in pelvic area... Can be called in abdominal area in broader term or between backbone and lower rib as well. I am surprised that Allah used 'Gushing fluid' instead of semen!!! It is accurate. Alhamdulillah. Allah mentioned 'embryo' as 'chewing meat' like substance as well which is 100% accurate according to modern embryology. This itself proof Quran is from outside this world because this is impossible to say without ultrasonography machine or microscope. SubhanAllah. I don't speak arabic of English. Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs." Allah used 'drop emitted' meaning semen (combination of prostatic, seminal fluid and sperm from testis). 'Proceedings /gushed ' from abdominal area/ the area between backbone and ribs(that's how we mark abdominal area in medical science as well!!!!) Meaning fluid coming from prostate and seminal vehicles. Sperm produced in testes. From there as semen it emitted!!!!! Wow. MasAllah

He used gushing fluid which comes from seminal vehicles and prostate. And they are between the ribs and backbone /Abdominal area. In the testis together with sperm it forms semen. Semen comes out testis and emitted during intercour*e to the womb. Where is the problem? It is right 100%. I am surprised that Allah didn't use the term semen rather He used the term 'gushing fluid'!!!!! Which is jaw dropping for myself as a medical doctor for 8 yrs.

@@joerdim I suggest you to go and check how semen is formed. Gushing fluid between ribs and abdomen isn't semen rather part of semen. Semen contains sperm and fluid. Most of the Fluid comes from seminal vesicles and prostate. Sperm produced in the testis. As semen emitted during s*x. I can't make it easier than this.

And he has made a good point so far and in my humble opinion on the matter the Muslim response was lacking. Claiming that the Quran's words of "between the spine and the ribs" translates to the thoracic and abdominal cavities is a "stretch" and drawing a line to the coccyx is also a "stretch". A more plausible explanation is required.

I am amazed how Quran is describing the location of Glandula Vesiculosa( seminal vesicle) in medicine especially in Antony we describe the location exactly using body feature like Head: towards or away, towards centre or away, front or back for example anterior, posterior, proximal, distal, medial, lateral etc.Quran is saying seminal vesicles are anterior to backbone and located posteriorly(posterior to ribs or sternum). سبحان اللہ

The semen made of sperm and fluid. Sperm produced in testes while Fluid produced mostly by seminal vesicle, some % by prostate. During human development, testes descend downward from upper body. There is condition called cryptorchidism, mean undescended testes in which testes stuck anywhere in abdomen or in inguinal canal while descending. Seminal vesicle made from mesonephros / wolffian duct (Not metanephros which form kidneys). This mesonephroic duct also form upward then grows caudally i.e. downward. Its end form seminal vesicle which joins prostate. So basically testes and seminal vesicle basically come from upward body part Note. For background, I am doctor and i studied anatomy in my medical school.

In the Tariq Surah, it is not the man's sperm that is mentioned. It is the woman's egg cell that is mentioned there. It is formed once a month in the ovary tissue located at the back of the abdominal cavity and comes out by gushing out with some water. Then it goes to the uterus through the fallopian tube. Exactly as described in the Surah. Neither the word sperm is mentioned in the Surah nor is the man mentioned. The Surah only mentions a gushing water.i

knowing Arabic is not a guarantee to understanding the Quran. Sometimes detailed knowledge of other areas is needed to fully understand a verse as is in this case. Most Muslims as can be seen from the comments haven't bothered to study the verses properly preferring to just accept the explaining of drawing a line from the rib to the coccyx bone.
