Great news! This tune is totally rad and on-point. It invokes the early 80's CV sound, infusing it within the framework of a contemporary Industrial Techno track. Richard H. Kirk always has his finger on the pulse of cutting-edge electronic music.

*I wonder why Richard H. Kirk decided to release this as a Cabaret Voltaire album instead of a RHK album if Stephen Mallinder isn't on it?* *But I'm happy he's releasing some new music- 1 of my favorite musicians!*

Kudos to Richard Kirk, for everything - and yes - it would pass more honest if released under his own name which speaks volumes. This way, presenting it as something it is not entirely, leaves a mere illusion. And the fans greeting it as "Cabaret Voltaire" sound just like the music - flogging the living legend... The track has an interesting premise but after its initial build-up, the intrigue of the brutal electro-façade is quickly smashed, revealing a doodling play-safe reinterpretation (it's not hard to think of "Walk East", "Eastern Mantra" and especially "Yashar").

I recall going to see Richard at some experimental affair at the Festival Hall in London with people up for a random noodle squiggle kind of an evening and people complaining when Kirk hit that 4/4 bass drum sound for the next forty minutes as support, rocking out frantically across his machines. It wasn't what my friends were expecting but I thought it was great, he was so in the moment. Good evening all round, though I can't for the life of me remember who came on after him!

I do wish Stephen were still part of the band, but I'm happy that Richard is carrying on the tradition and taking it to new directions. It's strange too since I've recently been on a RHK / Sandoz / Electronic Eye kick... :D :D :D :D :D

I have a lot of RHK solo stuff which this sounds very similar to. Considering I’m talking about a few years ago I hope the new CV album will be more inspirational and forward thinking. Nothing wrong with this track, it’s just that it’s not exactly ground breaking, even for CV. Do I Need it.?

I just bought this on itunes into only a minute of play! Is this "bumpin'" or not?
I was the biggest advocate of Cabaret Voltaire during my DJ career in the Chicago underground & alternative club scene in the 1980’s. I always incorporated several CV tracks into my mixes every night at the Smart Bar, Cabaret Metro, Medusa’s and Berlin. CV lost me though after the release of their album “Code”, sadly enough. What came after that was absolute rubbish. I just now accidentally found out that this was released in 2020 and am SO GLAD Rickard Kirk dropped the god-awful, cheap and tacky house-music vibe. THIS is Cabaret Voltaire in all it‘s glory!! Welcome back!

Sorry, but without Mallinder this is just a Kirk solo album masquerading as Cabaret Voltaire. This track even sounds like it could have been on his last album, Dasein. There goes the hope I've had for years that they'd reunite, at least for some shows.
